Re: Why people are still buying BTC?
by
yahamidu
on 30/07/2018, 12:03:12 UTC
Hello guys,

To me, it seems pretty strange that people actually continues buying btc now...
I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.

Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  Roll Eyes ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.

An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.

Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).

I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

because bitcoin is the king of crypto currency. It is more potential and more profitable.

Re: Wise thing to do with your savings.

I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?

In my opinion Saving is good way to fulfil emergency needs. You should invest too for long term.

Yes, I think bitcoin will grow very far in the future, and prices go crazier making the world slowly recognize bitcoin and make it as second money for payment after the currency they use. that's my opinion. Lets see. It will happen.

the price of crypto is now down, what should we do to keep it profitable? give your feedback

Most of the time in the face of falling prices, we must hold, rather than choose to sell, which is not rational. We will wait until the price is going up the we can sell it.

Re: Expected predictions
by
yahamidu
on 26/06/2018, 15:52:19 UTC
I will wait for that time to arrive, because I believe the bitcoin price by the end of 2018 will soar.
I will keep the spirit to collect coins for my future.
although this month, bitcoin prices are worse than December of 2017, but I still believe it.
Can not be denied, the growth of Bitcoin value in 2017 is arguably fantastic. However, this criticism of cryptocurrency is analogous to a 'bubble' (because it continues to fly high but can 'erupt' anytime)

The year 2017 seems to be the period of proof for Bitcoin as the most calculated cryptocurrency. One climax occurs when the digital currency recorded a record high with the value (USD 19,796) on December 17 last.
Experts also predict that with these achievements, Bitcoin has the potential to record a much higher value next year.
"Bitcoin can reach (USD 60,000) by December 2018," said Mike Dumont, Senior Editor of Bitcoin.com

In my opinion, I'm sure all bitcoin holders are looking forward to it happening. Hopefully what happened at the end of 2017 yesterday could happen again this year. News like this is very good in my opinion. This can motivate someone to be more eager to have bitcoin. And will reduce the panic in it. I really believe thats. Lets see.

Re: What will happen to bitcoin?

Bitcoin at the present time resembles as a bubble.Once it goes up, it immediately pops out.  It is normal that the price of bitcoin gets down but it's been a long time since it is on its original value or higher than its real value. Those who invest these past few months are suffering a lot of loaaes and they are losing hope that bitcoin will continue to drastically decrease in value.  Do you have guys some advice for me? It will be really appreciated and I will be eternal grateful.

Bitcoin is one of the leading crypto currency that can be operated worldwide. Next do not panic if the price decreases and if this happens, the best thing to do is hold your bitcoin and be patient as the bitcoin price will bounce back and become more expensive. I believe It will happen.

Re: Is Paypal a scam?
by

on 25/06/2018, 16:43:06 UTC
I have had an issue with Paypal and while I was trying to look for a solution on the internet, I came across this website (https://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/paypal_02.html) where everybody is complaining about Paypal. Most of the complains were actually similar to the one that I have. I thought Paypal is a credible company but now I have started feeling worried about my funds stuck in the accounts.

I think Papyal is not a scam, but by sending money to your paypal indirectly and directly agree they can withhold your funds in case of dispute. This service has been around for years and they have many trusted customers.
But when you compare it with bitcoin, you will realize that bitcoin is much more user friendly and tax free and people will prefer bitcoin over paypal in the future. That's in my opinion.

Re: Gold & Silver are safe than bank deposits ??
by
yahamidu
on 25/06/2018, 16:19:30 UTC
Note: If you like my topics/threads and posts give me "+merits". See on the right side of each post (top right corner) there is "+Merits"

I think now fixed deposit interest rates are less than 5% p.a in USA and Europe. In India fixed deposit rates are 6.5%.

Gold and Silver gives average profit of 8% to 12% per year. Silver will most likely give 20% to 30% profit each year from here on to reach $60/ounce.

Example:

Profit for gold and silver for year 2016 is 12%.

Profit for gold and silver for year 2017 is 0%

Profit for gold and silver for year 2018 is 8%

Profit for gold and silver for year 2019 is 16%

So average profit for 4 years is +9%

How secured/safe are investments in gold and silver if you decide to remove/withdraw your money from banks fixed deposits and invest them in Gold and silver ??

Yes It's true. I prefer to deposit to gold and silver instead of giving the money I have in the bank because in the bank my money will definitely be used for other purposes thus making my money unsafe. Usually my money in the bank is used for emergency needs.

Since the beginning of the year bitcoin prices continue to decline and there are still many bitcoin users who still survive and hope bitcoin will rise again, but in fact the price of bitcoin increase has not been significant and impressed stagnant and continue to fall, what exactly happened, could the market start to get bored, trust against bitcoin begin to decrease and switch to another coin as an alternative. how in your opinion?

I think you should have patience if you want to profit from bitcoin, this time the market is red and there is a decrease in every crypto coin. Be patient and remain optimistic then you will benefit sweet from crypto. I believe the market will rise soon.

Do you think Bitcoin will remain the most dominant coin both short and long term? Even though it does not remain the most dominant coin, this will not be the same as saying that Bitcoin won’t exist long term.

I think currently bitcoin still dominates the cryptocurrency market and probably for a very long time from now. I believe that. Lets see.

Re: This can be addictive!!
by
yahamidu
on 19/06/2018, 15:46:09 UTC
I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now.  I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good.  One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive.  Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well.  There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.

Yes, I think it can really take over your routine just constantly worrying about coin prices. That's why I'm looking for a long-term solution. I hold my coin. I will wait for the market demand is increasing again. We will see.

Re: The HODL strategy is not actual
by
yahamidu
on 19/06/2018, 15:37:18 UTC
This morning I saw an article where a guy made a simple calculation through Google trends about HODL strategy, and it showed that call to HODL used less and less from February of 2018. Popularity of word Bitcoin and crypto currency is also falling down.
Why it is so? Do not people believe in Bitcoin and it's bright future anymore?
No matter on such tend I am going to HODL my founds till bitcoin will not come back to 20k$ Grin

I think Hold Strategy is still relevant today. It all depends on the time in which you intend to hold your coin. Many users want to get on with this strategy in no time. This is very rare. I combine trade by holding. I like both, trading and holding.

by

I can clearly see that there are other cryptocurrencies that are beginning to dethrone bitcoin, showing off there quick and secured transactions, though bitcoin continues to be the king. What does bitcoin need to improve state your opinions.

I think the major improvement need for Bitcoin is the transaction cost should be reduced and the transaction needs faster too. That's in my opinion.

Re: Bounty rewards Sell Immediately? or HODL!
by
yahamidu
on 19/06/2018, 15:19:52 UTC
I have participated in a bounty campaign as of now. I am curious that when every ICO bounty rewards I join when it hit on an exchange after a day, the price of the token goes way below its price. As for me a bounty hunter, what is the best decision if I received my bounty rewards, do I need to sell it immediately? or hold it for more 2-5 months.

I think if the token is distributed to the participants, what most gift hunters expect is how much the token costs and sell it, you can sell it immediately or you can keep it for a long time and expect the token price to increase many times over. That's what I've done.

Re: Money laundering tools
by
yahamidu
on 19/06/2018, 14:41:35 UTC
In my opinion, BTC is not a traditional currency like gold and silver because it does not have any use value, so it is not a credit currency. It's basically just one use, money laundering tool. The tool explains why bitcoin prices are spread across the country and abroad. Domestic money is changed into bitcoins and then physical transportation to overseas exchange for foreign currency escapes regulation and the cost of money laundering is lower than before, and the risk is low.

I think people have a different opinion, when we say bitcoin is a washing tool, that's also possible, because bitcoin can be used for some pusposes but it depends on the people about how they act and use bitcoin. Many different issues about bitcoin are used for any bad action, but there is no evidence to prove that is true. That's in my opinion.

Re: Bitcoin price stabilizes?
by
yahamidu
on 18/06/2018, 14:55:48 UTC
Bitcoin fell 70% from 19500$ peak and negative headlines had wiped out billions in value in cryptocurrencies,
But top U.S. regulators testifying before a Senate committee called for greater oversight, without proposing industry-killing measures.
That was something different from crackdown on crypto that hapened in asia, and created picture of stable asset from Bitcoin.
That news gave enough positive momentum for traders to continue investing in cryptocurrencie market and Bitcoin, and returned more than
100 billion $ back in crypto market, as we can see in the last week.

Something that can give us a little more volatility in price is Chinese New Year celebrations for the Year of the Dog begin in China
and follow across much of Asia, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Chinese mainland markets are closed Feb. 15-21.

Yes, I think nobody knows, it is something very close to the currency of crypto currency. The cause of bitcoin and altcoin is something new to the world, they appear out of nowhere and I love it.

Do you agree that facebook banned all that promote ico's and bitcoin?

In my opinion, this is due to the fact that many ICO advertised people are scams and people complain, so now they will filter ads from various projects.

Re: How can you manage potential losses during a crash
by
yahamidu
on 18/06/2018, 14:24:51 UTC
The most common answer to this question will be to hoard and to wait for the correction to reduce or elimate your potential losses.

My suggestion to reduce potential losses, might sound a bit controversial, but it might just work in the current environment.

What I have noticed lately, is that the price is dropping within a $500 margin daily and then recovers.

So in theory, If you were one of the people who bought coins at say $18 000, and IF you sold now at say $9000, you would have lost more or less $9000.

My suggestion : Use these daily crashes to your advantage. Buy more coins when the price falls with $500 and sell when the price goes up with $500 again. After trading fees, your profit will be anywhere between $450 to $490 per coin/day.

Take the profit, put it aside and repeat this strategy until you have chipped away at the potential loss that you would have made.

Day 1   - $9000
Day 2   - $8550
Day 3   - $8100
Day 4   - $7650
Day 5   - $7200
Day 6   - $6750
Day 7   - $6300
Day 8   - $5850
Day 9   - $5400
Day 10 - $4950
Day 11 - $4500
Day 12 - $4050
Day 13 - $3600
Day 14 - $3150
Day 15 - $2700
Day 16 - $2250
Day 17 - $1800
Day 18 - $1350
Day 19 - $ 900
Day 20 - $ 450
Day 21 - $ 0

In 3 weeks, you can eliminate any possible losses, if you follow this example. This is definately not a guaranteed recipe for success, but given the current situation, this might just work.  Cheesy

Yes, I think What you do and suggest is the best way to cover your losses, this is the system how they work on wall street as well. They buy and sell in blocks and do this while stocks in accumulated fashion every time they go up or down. It is agood way.
