Should tap private individuals or companies then.
Since blockchain technology is going stronger, those private entities will be interested in your project.
Considering that you are an established company as you mentioned, with about 600k farmers in asia alone, that would be a big selling point to these investors.
Relying from the crypto community is not an assurance to gain success. You should look into other options.

I am a firm believer in crowd-funding. I have taken venture in the past and they just want to drive your business the moment they come in. Yes venture does bring some good partners and connections, but they also come up with lot of bad partners and people who are just looking to grab the money you raised. It all depends on the VC firm.

Btw, we are not a well-established company. We would not be doing an IEO. I clarified the point in an earlier post. We have founders who have been in the industry for a long time and have implemented similar solutions in the past, we have recently partnered with organizations who are giving us access to a lot of their network as potential future customers. The funds raised will be used to develop and scale the Blockchain platform and market the solutions, onboard these network of farmers and producers and run the shop activities.

I disagree with you. Just because a project is on Binance means nothing, except that it will be launched on one of the top exchanges. In fact, I don't like the due diligence process of Binance. The result is a project (I won't name) which they recently did an IEO, but it has nothing to show. The team was probably sharing some made up facts to Binance based on which they picked the project. This is from first-hand experience. I am with Farm2Kitchen, we are doing an IEO on ProBit. Our application is still pending on Binance. We were planning an ICO in Nov 2018, but we pulled out of it because of the bad market and instead we went to development with the seed funds and build a Marketplace that we launched last month. We build an app which is in Beta on Android. So we just did not quit because the ICO was pulled off, we carried on with the plans with whatever limited resources we had. Now we have a MVP to showcase and we are proud of the progress we have done with the resources. We are top rated on ICO Bench and ICO Marks (which to me does carry weight because of the due diligence they do). We are looking forward to a successful IEO so we can use the funds to develop the Blockchain network for traceability and market the platform across our primary market. So trust me my friend, not all IEOs are bad and being on Binance is not a validation.

I find it interesting, like the knowledge of the team, but curious how does your project compare with TE-Foods? They did a successful ICO I think last year.

Good question! TE-Food is a good solution, but it caters to more of larger food producers and is offered as a subscription to participate on the platform vs. the Farm2Kitchen solution is a democratic, open solution where the participants only pay for transaction fees or gas. Plus the other difference is we have a provision to reuse QR codes, lets say for fresh producer farmers who use crates to deliver producer. This makes the solution cost-effective and suitable for small and marginal farmers too.

The other key difference is we are building a Farmer's Marketplace which will provide direct market access to farmers which in turn will improve the margins for the farmers. The idea is that effectively the Farm2Kitchen platform will pay for itself without adding a burden on the farmers.

I checked your site and now it has entered the 2nd rounde regarding round 1 and there the sales of tokens are sold there. is there data about the sale? how many were sold and how many usd were collected? Unfortunately if you say that this company has been established or has developed a long time ago it should have good fundamentals and get more than that exchange to work together.

We will have the round 1 numbers released before the start of round 2 on May 7th.

About the timeline, we started with the Food Traceability on Blockchain concept of this project in late 2017. We officially launched in February 2018. We did some PoC building a platform forking from a popular chain and then did another PoC on Hyperledger. In last summer the Apps team started working on building this Marketplace and the Farm Management mobile app. We did a first release of the app in November 2018, but we decided to pull it off the Play Store because of some critical issues in the app. I don't know your experience with building a startup, but its a process, especially when you are on a limited budget. Now we have the marketplace MVP that went live last month. The funds raised from the ICO will be used to build the Blockchain platform, marketing, and business development activities for the marketplace and the traceability platforms.

I am available on Telegram at yogeshko if you have any specific questions. You are also welcome to join our group telegram group @Farm2Kitchen.

We really appreciate the interest in our platform.

Then what's the point in doing IEO? If you are already a well established company working with 600k farmers in asia, And why don't you ask government for funding instead of launching a token sale to fund your project.

You are spot on! The reference is an MoU we have signed with a Farmer's organization that has 600,000 members. These are the farmers who are slowly but steadily joining the marketplace. The marketplace is Free to join and so its not going to get us the revenue at this point. We have some strategies to monetize the marketplace, but that's in the future. We are talking to government organizations, but it has been a struggle because of the lack of understanding of Blockchain.

the best you said? There were so many project that said they have multi-billion market but none of them are feasible. None of them are able to deliver their promises nor seems working hard on the development, almost no progress at all. So, before calling your own project the best, it's better to conduct your tokensale on a popular exchange first.

Yes you may have seen many projects that show a multi-billion market, but there are key differences:
- Many ICO projects talk about building the next "rocket to the moon" with no demonstrated experience, but we are building Food Traceability solution on Blockchain. The founders have experience building a similar solution using traditional databases, we are partners on the project and Premier IBM Business partner with expertise on Blockchain, so we know we can build the solution.
- Its not always about the market. The world is changing and people are conscious about what's on their plate. This is going to drive up the demand for traceability and the market will definitely grow in the future.
- Finally, we have some demonstrated early traction, which always helps. We signed an MoU with a winemaker and they will use our platform for tracking their bottles of wine. We are in talks with a FPU for a similar partnership. So things are looking great.
So, I have no doubts in my mind that we can successfully deliver what we are promising.

Since you have long list why someone needs to invest on your project, why did you choose Probit as exchange? Why not Binance or Bittrex or any other popular exchange? Are you confident that you will attain success from that exchange?
This is like a paid service, Binance being the leader for every exchange it'll be charging high for the launch through them. The large scale project investors with their huge funding prefer Binance while the rest go with these kind of exchanges for the launch.

We have applied with Binance. But the problem is I think they are getting 100s of applications and they are following a weird process. They say that we have to keep posting project progress on their forum and they will decide based on that. One of the recent project they launch (I won't name it) their progress I have analyzed and I don't see it as real progress, but maybe they were sharing ambitions updates to Binance and they selected them. Its all very tricky. Right now we are happy with ProBit as they were quick to launch and they have pretty good volume. Plus our own subscribers. Our crowd-sale platform has almost 20,000 subscribers. So all of this is helping. I am not sure if this will get us the hardcap, but its a good start for us.

......inline reply

Where are those farmers and producers will come from?
Farm2Kitchen is a global platform, but as far as the BD efforts we are focusing on south-east Asia as the launch market. This is where we have existing partnerships that we are leveraging to bring the farmers on the platform.

Do you have prior communication with them regarding this project?
Yes we have run multiple outreach efforts to spread the word about the project. Also, the idea with the online marketplace is also to bring farmer's to the platform while the Food Tracking Blockchain platform is under development.

Where will your first Farmer's Marketplace be located?
As I said, the marketplace is online and global. For the buyer-side, we will be aggregating as metro-areas.

One of the guidelines I suggest is, if a project is in seed stage, they should not be asking for too much money. Anything more than 10 million is alarming. Check the founders, if they are real, you can find their previous history on Google, not just some link they provided. Check their credibility of building businesses. Some common sense things that we miss out.

Checkout ProBit: https://www.probit.com/en-us/ieo

I'm with Farm2KItchen. We launched our IEO on ProBit because they have good volume (mostly Korean traders). The round 1 went very well for us. We are launching round 2 from May 7th.

Farm2Kitchen - Global Farmer's Marketplace and Food Traceability on Blockchain

Why?
- Experienced team (65+ years of experience between the 3 cofounders)
- Huge opportunity. Food traceability is estimated at US $4.5 Billion market.
- Blockchain makes Food Traceability democratic, easy for everyone to participate, adds the trust and is truly global.
- The MVP is already live. The Marketplace which went live last month is an onboarding platform for Farmer's and Food producers to join the network.
- The Farm Management mobile app (beta) is available on Android and coming to iOS soon once some required features are ready (expected July 2019).
- The team has received several awards over the years for their work with small and marginal Farmers.

How can you validate this?
- Search Farm2Kitchen on Google. Read news articles.
- Check us on ICO Bench (Rating 4.6) and ICO Marks (Rating 9.3). You can't get these ratings unless they have verified the company and the founders.

Check out ProBit. Its a Korean exchange this is listed on CMC. The volume is still low but their IEOs are doing good. This is from personal experience. I am with Farm2Kitchen (F2K Token). We successfully completed our round 1 of IEO yesterday and raised the startup funds. Now we getting ready to launch the round 2, starting from May 7th. It depends on your project too. Farm2Kitchen has a strong reputation and a big following on social media. We have 20k people signed up on our own crowd-sale platform. So that makes a difference too, but still I feel ProBit is good. No platform issue.

I see Ethererum as somewhat similar to a VC firm. You buy Ether and invest them in ICO or IEO by trading the Ether with the ERC-20 tokens offered by the project. The projects get paid in your ETH that they can later convert to Fiat or use as is for development and marketing activities.

Check out Farm2Kitchen (F2K) Token for an example, which is a token on the Ethereum platform and is used for crowd-funding using IEO which is currently ongoing on ProBit.
