Hello all, wanted to post an update on my case.

So far so good, I got my miners back from them, they even told me they will be "absorbing" the shipping costs for now. So I didn't have to pay anything to get them back. However they have a balance on my account for prepaid hosting & deposit that I haven't received , they told me they will be working on getting back to me as soon as the get some cash from a miner sale they have pending. I will update again then if i get my money back from them.

Sincerely

I wish that had emailed me when they decided to shut the miners down, I emailed them daily for about a week and didn’t get a reply from them until now.

Thanks for sharing that email, I just checked my email & spam folder , and I have not received a similar email yet.

I kinda smelled something like that was happening, I wish they would have told me day they took my s9s down what was going on.

I guess I’ll wait until they contact me to figure out how I am going to get my miners back. I just hate the lack of communication.  Since I don’t have next gen miners I guess they just don’t care to reply to emails, phone or voicemails. I’ll keep you guys posted.

Looking for Miner Housing (Hosting) for 20+ Miners in Washington State
by

Hello All

I'm looking to host 20+ Antminer S9s in the US, preferably in the state of Washington, I have the miners on hand and ready to deploy. I have more miners coming also in a few months.

I found a couple of providers using google, but they seem to be at capacity, too expensive or they didn't answer my request at all.

Anybody able to recommend any serious providers here?

Thanks in Advance

hello Patrik

our mine is in Venezuela and temps here is our main concern because of our warm climate...we run industrial grade ventilation on our warehouse....our miners usually run in the high 60's in the daytime and sometimes peak on the low 70s for a couple of hours on hot days at noon. we would like the protection to trigger in the rare case of a ventilation failure on our warehouse to protect the miners...since we don't have a dedicated staff there all the time.

do you have any more info on the overheat protection rule.....I see it defaults at 96 degrees, it seems quite high for Antminers, antminers are supposed to stop hashing at 80 deg, but i've seen them reach 80 deg and stay at 80 in the past , look like they don't really to stop working when they reach 80 deg with their built in overheat protection in the firmware ....any recommendations?

thanks in advance

I see the supply and demand of the market fluctuating to adjust over the next two weeks then rising to ~$1800 by the end of September then rising to ~$3000 by the end of the year.

MINE ON!

Yes, make that happen!  Cool Cool Cool

we can only dream, I'm be happy with an increase to $1000 for now.

it's hard to justify buying new bitmain miners at the current prices, even with cheap or free power, their quality is so low it's always a risk...

Hello guys, i'm having trouble with a miner i got on my last order (still under bitmain warranty), the miner starts up and i get the blinking green light, but one of the hashboards seems to be having trouble starting up hashing, and the whole miner doesn't hash at all until that board starts up,

miner starts and shows 0 hashing in the miner status, and it gives 100% HW errors....it takes about 5-8 minutes and then the miner starts hashing at full speed, i tested each board separatelly and the problem seems to be related with 1 single board, if i disconnect it miner starts mining right away.

anybody familiar with this problem? is this board defective even if it starts hashing after 5-8 minutes? im still in bitmain warranty

I've been mining directly my coinbase address por almost a year, after looking at the earlier comments regarding problems with coinbase I started looking for an alternative wallet to gather my mined bitcoins before sending them to coinbase.

any recommendations for a good ios wallet? i read some good reviews for breadwallet, but i'd like to know what do you guys suggest as the best ios wallet.

thanks in advance

Use an independent wallet such as GreenBits for Great security or a nice to use wallet such as Airbitz.

What about the blockchain wallet

I use blockchain wallet for my mining payouts but blockchain wallet isn't great overall.  It is convenient.  You just have to make sure that when you send all those little mining payouts from the blockchain wallet to a real wallet that you add enough fee to get it picked up.  And with blockchain wallet you get no real idea of the kb size of the transaction so you just have to guess at the fee size.  I have had transactions get stuck for literally 10 days because I didn't include enough fee.  Although maybe the new version of their wallet does a better job of calculating a fee for you?  Not sure on that point.  I always did manual fees on the old version of the wallet and haven't tried the new version yet, I just saw where they offered it when I logged in last.

I have a VM that is usually turned off that I run a couple different "lite" wallets on where I store the lion's share of my coins.  I fire it up when I want to spend some or I need to get new deposit addresses to send my mining rewards to from blockchain.  The VM does nothing else so I consider it secure enough.  Plus VM's are easy to backup.

saludos zerocool.
