Re: [BOUNTY][ICO] Confideal official bounty campaign ENDED

Dear Bounty Hunters that participated in our bounty campaign!

We have received several messages about paying the bounty tokens.
We are going to clarify this issue.

Each ICO is a big risk:

The team puts a lot of money and effort to their product and campaign;
Bounty hunters put their effort to the campaign;
Investors put their money into a risky business.

Everyone should bear in mind there is a chance everything can go wrong and their investments will never be paid off.

So, the bounty participants of our November campaign will not be paid, as the campaign was not successful.
And we are not going to launch a new bounty campaign this time.

If you stay with us and believe that Confideal is an awesome project, you definitely know that we play fair. You know all the ETH we received later, have been returned to their investors.

If you know this, you should definitely consider Confideal to be a brilliant project to invest in.

6. Bug bounty campaign

The scope of our bug bounty program includes all contracts related to the CDL token and crowdsale. This includes contracts from our official Confideal GitHub repo.
Our team will assess each submission individually and assign a level of severity according to its likelihood and impact on security and performance of the token itself.
Compensation will depend on the severity of the issue found.

@Zvisha: thanks for you Spondoolies work-awesome job, man.
Since you are not directly involved with Spondoolies any more-what is your take on 21co bitcoin device?
Interesting or meh?

yeah id be curious to know his take as well.  seems after all his hard work and what hes done with spondoolies he could give some good insight

He may well still have some financial interests in the BTCS merger, even if he isn't employed full time there. We shouldn't be surprised if he doesn't respond.

From what i know about it i think it is a very bad idea with very good marketing.
It dont see how this can be profitable to anyone involved. I dont see consumer mining as a real market in the future. It was fun,  but IMO it's a dead horse.

But I dont follow on the forum anymore,  so pls don't post me here) And microsoft ted is not the lectures ted,  it's "technical evangalism domain"  or thomething like that)))

I wonder if Zvi/software lead is still with the combined company?
Zvi co-founded his own company this year and is working for MS, so if he's still involved he's definitely a busy man.

what's MS? Microsoft?
Edit: nevermind, it's just Microsoft's TED team (maybe a consult or a summer gig), re Spondoolies it says-Present.

TED is a Microsoft team that does work to repair Microsoft reputation in the open sourse community. It is a new initiative. Mostly I work with startups in the  Microsoft Ventures lab.
I am involved in Spondoolies where my experience is needed (I am allowed by my Microsoft agreement) ,  because we are friends but I am not the main developer anymore. After implementing 2 years of miner SW one has to move on.

what cgminer version  has SP10 Dawson
FW test version 1.5.10? does it have extranonoce.subscribe patch in?
currently running
FW Version    1.5.8
CGMiner Version    cgminer4.5.0

Extranonce subscribe is not officialy supported by Con and by spondoolies. You can compile it and scp to the board.

Spondoolies, can we get details on the latest 2.7.1 test firmware for SP20?

Its just a cgminer update, but it was not properly tested since I dissasembled my testing environment for sp2x/3x. I dont expect to release new official sp10/20/3x releases. No breson to upgrade.

After one trouble after another it was time for something different, so one of my psu of SP30 has been died. Its a new unit only 2 months old.
I cant contact spoondolie I think as I had buy it from ebay. Any suggestion how to get a new psu? Can I just use some other psu like EVGA 1300? I can make the right cables.

any suggestion is welcome.
thanks.

Generic PSU will only work if you set 'generic psu'  flag in /etc/mg_generic_psu.  We had insisted on some bug fixes to the stock emerson fw. Without it you must use it as generic.  Ask on forum from people who did it.

Does anyone know how to fix this on LOOP[0] ?
Even after restart of the miner it still on 760Hz-770Hz only.

If that one goes hotter, the one behind it will drop completely out of the loop, eventually taking the whole loop down. The unit optimizes the freq for each chip so that it'll keep everything running. Don't be worried about one freq. Look at the whole unit.

Agree.
The logic of scaling is very complicated and takes into account 4-5 different parameters for optimisation. Also every ASIC is different and has different top freq` even at same voltage.

Hello to all.
I need help to recover a SP20.
problem happens when i downgrade from 2.6.14 to 2.5.12 with firmware list from web management.   After the downgrade machine shows it is a SP10, having web access, but not mining. I did a factory reset and have not more access to the unit.
So I tried a recovery with SDcard. I got xmas lights , but problem remain. 4 times or more.
I can get web and ssh acces to the machine with SDboot, but want to recover internal memory.
It looks that something internally is saying the machine is a SP10 , but doesnt know how to change it.
here is something similar:
http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/16218032-recover-sp10-that-has-image-2-x-x
but i am not sure if this is the same that my situation and what the instructions to fix it have to be implemented.
I write to support, but I get tired after one week waiting for a solution from them. Not much happy with support.
thanks

Zvi --- I am really enjoying 2.6.14 on my SP20s;  One thing is needed to make the scheduling work well for many of us home miners;

Can you please add an option to set the fan speed, rather than just leaving it as auto

You can do it manually via ssh in the crond. There was a post about it here a while ago. maybe someone has a link here ?

Im having issues with a pair of SP10 units that im trying to undervolt for efficiency and slow fans.

at 15% fans, 600mv start, 620mv max, and 750W max, i see initial hashrates arounf 900GH/600W but it quickly has 5-10 chip errors per machine ('xxxxxxxxxxxx' all over the place in the stats tab) and drops to around 750GH/500W

am i tuning something wrong? temps seem fine with the slow fans, and the intake/exhaust is about 20/60

edit: seems that a starting voltage of 610mv eliminates the majority of 'dead' chips.

is scheduling available or planned for implementation in the SP10?

No, but it cab done from cron using ssh.
I hope someone from community can prepare a guide that I will publish.

Hi all,

I just got a 15 unit batch of SP20's approximately 30 hours ago.  I absolutely love these rigs!!!  However, I am running into an issue with one rig.  It says, "LOOP[0] ON TO:0 (w:38)
0: disabled (Asic all engines fail BIST).

I have IBM 2880W PSU's with breakout boards.  All of the others are running well on these IBM 2880W PSU's except for one I had problems connecting to last night [I will deal with it after I finish my new mining closet in the next couple of days].

I have replaced the PCI-e cord in port 1 of the SP20 and I've changed ports with a new cord on the breakout board.  Yet, it still says, "LOOP[0] ON TO:0 (w:38)
0: disabled (Asic all engines fail BIST)."

I was getting too sleepy last night to continue trouble shooting it.  If someone else has had this issue or has something to offer for me to try, please chime in.

Thank you

Nothing to do about this.
The ASIC was damaged in shipment.

To all interested in using wireless adapters, I just tested SP20 with
Edimax Model No. EW-7718Un
and
Edimax Model No. EW-7711USN
and both are working.

Other sticks I had at home didn't work.

I'm trying to use extranonce.subscribe on my SP30 on westhash, and it doesn't seem to work.  I enabled it by setting the option to 2, to no avail.

Is this a known issue?

M

SP30 with the old firmware did not have the right cgminer for westhash. I know Zvi issued one in the paycoin days, having a CGminer with extranonce .. what firmware are you on? If you're on the correct firmware, did you reboot to use the "new" cgminer?

Hi all. 2.5.52 (still experimantal)

- Support extranonce.subscribe added by your requests - you have to enable it in settings and reboot to use other binary. It is a binary I got from jtoomim that claims to be cgminer 4.8.0 - I have no idea what it is or who compiled it but it seams to be a legit cgminer with extranonce support, so use it at your own risk Wink I tested it for 2 minutes exactly.
- Yellow led blinks 3 times if got no IP, 2 times if got IP.
- Supports "minimal hash rate". If unit goes under "minimal hash rate" it will restart miner_gate.
- Different downscale logic to prevent PSU issues - still I am not clear on the effects of this one but should increase stability.

Using 2.6.1.  I restarted minergate, but not the whole unit.

M

you need to do unit reboot.

@biodom: Thanks very much for the clue about the drop-down selection box for the SP20 firmware version. I didn't notice the "down arrow" and assumed there was only one. I see several other TEST versions now.

@zvi: Thanks for elaborating on the 2.6.7 and 2.6.14 versions of the firmware. I's really nice to have that kind of insight. I also appreciate that Spndoolies has a a true technical guy on here from time to time, and not strictly a "corporate mouthpiece" to dispense the company line.

While I only have about 10 hours on the 2.6.14 firmware it's vastly more useful than 2.6.1. I haven't been able to coax the fan below 10 yet, even when using auto, I think I'll be able to make good progress with this.

Thanks again folks, and Spondoolies!

Thanks!
10% might be the minimum that it will work.
To try to set it to lower value: ssh to the unit, "vi  /etc/mg_custom_mode", change the fan to setting to "5" for example. If you set it to "0" it will become "auto", which starts about 60 and then goes down if system is cold.
Might work, but I never set it to lower then 10%.
