No, 127.0.0.1 is your IP address, it is localhost. The way it works is that your wallet connect to the network and downloads blockchain data. Your miner is mining that data on your local machine.

I believe this is similar to how pools work, they just have a fancy web interface to interact with.

In my previous post, I was joking that someone could mine on my wallet, help me get some coins ya know Tongue

So does your wallet have to be open when you're mining?
