. I want to make sure the account keeps working. Not that it will get shut down after a few days or the account will be recovered through email recovery.

Mine expired after 3 months, although it shows a later expiry date. All the generated keys became bad.

usually if you activate the keys they shouldn't get banned.. in my experience microsoft only bans unused keys, but once activated they stay active (my experience)
