I thought that is religion's job, i.e. to control and enslave people. Bible recommends and describes rules on how to implement slavery.

Bible has been rewritten to many times to suit the current power to hold weight in todays world. A lot of the things that are claimed to happen are mostly just mushrooms taking effect. Bring back mushrooms in churches and I will come join.
