That's not going to come close to what I'd consider 'good performance'. One should wait for Q4 of 2016 before buying a PC/Laptop.

True. However, I dislike buying used parts unless I have to. People don't tend to take care of their technology in general. However, right now on Amazon he can pick up a PS4 for $350.
