This is a very nice question i will answer it with my honest question if i'm going to develop time machine i would develop a machine like what you've mention in the starting post to and i will play gambling in present and if i lose i will remember what will be and going to back on that time to win the profit xD.

If you will go to the option of time travelling it is very possible that after few years you will have your own travel machine in clean room withut handle.. Wink

Well it is really hard to find a item's or marterial's to work with this time machine only in movies this happened and not in real life. Is just a simple question to ask but if im a genius like others then i will probably build one and i will let you by my side.
