If you prefer to do sports betting because you are into sports that's understandable. But if you do it just because you think there are no legit online casinos you are wrong. There are many of them where bets are provably fair and usually they earn from the house edge, not from cheating their customers.

You are right,there are casinos that can prove their fairness with multiple ways. For example: Betvoyager. You can check result of every game session with fairness control. If you think you are cheated then go to check numbers and compare results with real numbers. If you are not still get convinced ,you can check that complex code of fairness control on different sum hash sites. IMO you need to enjoy from gambling overall, if you gonna to check every single result, you can take advantage of being stressful on casinos Wink

True. I for one don't have a habit to check the fairness of games on a site which was confirmed by many to be legit. You only should do it with new unknown sites imo.

Pick up a site with good reputation and enjoy gambling there without bothering to check every single result.

That's probably one of the things why people get scammed (if the site is new). When someone has discovered some new website or something that is regularly increasing the number of visits, then probably they are going to see if they can scam using the websites name. You would never understand how people would see it because they know the name of the site is legal, it still depends on your perspective if you think there is something sketchy about the site. Check out the gambling section where there are a list of approved online casinos.

Good remark. That's why it's very unadvisable to search with Google for a gambling site to play. Scammers can create a site which will look like exact copy of a reputable one changing only one letter in the address and you'll end up losing all your deposit to those scammers. The best way to find a legit link to a known gambling site is looking for it here, on bitcointalk, in the official thread of the site.
