Well we are still having to pay a huge fee for just a single transactions. We are still have to wait for a long time to make a transaction. We are still have to do a lot of stuff in the order to get the money from the crypto. You said not wrong, but the fact, Bitcoin is really freedom.
It doesn't depend on the government, it only needs the user still use it and it will auto create a huge community.
Look at the current community of Bitcoin, not only Bitcoin community is larger than the past, Altcoin community also larger than the past.
