I thought that by putting an "anti-sniping" rule it would prevent the auction from happening last minute, but I was wrong. In the future, would it be better to set the anti-sniping terms to 24 hrs? Again, I'm sorry as this was my mistake.

No not 24 hours that will never end. The anti snipe rule is good i think for tops 15 minutes. Its human nature to wait to the last minute in hopes no one else is watching and you get a good deal. Coin like this will get a proper price. In the future i recommend just a wts and list the price. Bad form to pull an auction in play just because of where the price is at. Will make people not bid on your future auctions because they wont want to waste their time.
