It's not about monetization. It's all about domination/monopoly you are talking about. CZ is trying to have influence as much as possible over the crypto market and it's more clearer now. They can/can't make the amount they spend but it has certainly taken Binance to another level of power they have in the crypto market. However, I'm expecting a change in the CMC, more effective site.

that was the first thing that crossed my mind as well, decentralization was never his game, more diversify as much as possible. i hope it is fake news though, or i would have to find a better listing page. the thing with steemit also went weird. HIVE tokens have been paid out very late and still sit on binance with no way to be traded or moved anywhere.
