I provided terms to which the borrower agreed. No body put a gun to anyone's head and forced them to accept my terms.

You seem to have a very convoluted sense of logic: If I'm understanding correctly I'm responsible because I was charging rates that are more than some arbitrary number derived by corrupt governments intended to prevent their banker cohorts from abusing their coordinated corruption?
