I disagree with that notion. If you don't like ten minutes per block, you could always switch to ether or lite or some other crapola.

For clarification, those are the number of confirmations required, before coins will be credited to an account to thwart double spending attempts, when dealing with certain exchanges; Kraken is one that I can attest to.
