When it's comes down to taking profits our emotions is our biggest enemy, that's why it's always advisable to control your emotions while trading, and also take profit when you see one, cause no one can tell if the market will go keep going up or might just reverse down, so it's best to take whatever profit you get before it turns into a loss.

Your right, that's actually the main goal, but sadly some people normally fall in love with a coins and in the end they get rekt because they trusted the coin too much.
