Adding them per week is easy, but getting the exact character count is much more difficult. In Russian for instance each character takes a bunch of characters in HTML, and that's what I count.

Long posts aren't necessarily better. Sometimes a short post is enough. But if you try to extend such a post to meet the minimum post length to be paid, it becomes worse. That's why I like this rule in a campaign:
