I just feel like there is an upside of having fun and since I am losing only a tiny amount of money that doesn't hurt me at all, and accept defeat before I even start, it doesn't hurt me anymore.
Thats how it should be. Having less expectation to win and prepared to lose your money wont hurt much because you're already aware of the possible outcome and just enjoying the game. If you pressure yourself to win and spend the money that you cant afford to lose, that will be the start for a gambler to be in trouble after. Its either because of huge loss or becoming addicted for not having a limit.
That's the thing most people forget about when gambling. If you end up trying to gamble based on how much money you could potentially win, there is a big chance that you could lose a lot of money. But, if you end up gambling for just fun and consider the money as "spending money to have fun" then you are not going to be hurt at all. Imagine this as the same thing as paying for netflix subscription, maybe you would pay a bit more but you don't even have to.
Just consider it as spending money to be able to gamble and entertainment it brings. Just sportsbooks alone makes watching those games a lot more fun. The other day I wagered on Max to win the return of f1, and until he got to 1st place, I was having anxiety and excitement at the same time, all because I wagered on it, otherwise why would I care?
Always going to depend on how gambler treat this kind of entertainment, and it's also true that if you are aiming for huge earnings
it will backfire on you and might take more from your allocated budget. Most of the time, gamblers exceed to his limitation because of his desire
to win a lot, then he will realize that he already spends more money and still not getting anything from that point, that gambler
will continue to add more. Be wise and responsible each time you participate. Enjoy the game and live it when you are already empty pocket.
