Altcoin is for short time pump and not a good considerable choice of investment for the long term, but Bitcoin in whatever quantity is suitable for long-term holding.

You are right that Investing in most alt coins is more applicable for short-term, because if we see some incidents recently, then I think investing in any alt-coin is not very secure for your fund whether it is short-term or long-term.
On the others hand I think BITCOIN is always suitable for in any terms whether it can be long-term and short-term Although holding it is the best option, but for the short-term dips can be invested and sold at short-term highs it can be also a secure solution for the short-term trader. So i will say avoid investing in any kind of alt-coin at this current situation cause market conditions and FTT crash and Luna crash reminds us that there is no guarantee that another big coin will not crash after this.
