But that is exactly the problem. The best players want to take part in the best competition and they throw away one year of their career. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out for Chelsea this summer. It wouldn't be shocking if even more players would want to leave the club. Financially it would be unrealistic to believe that they are not in trouble in terms of FFP. How is it even possible to get away with it in times when FFP is supposed to come into effect? They spent 611 million Euro since Todd Boehly arrived. I am looking forward to see their explanation and how they want to circumvent the rules.
