The fact that bitcoin is not controlled by anyone or a company, that is more than enough why people have full trust towards bitcoin and majority are considering bitcoin as the bases value of most of the altcoins in the market today.
And, Despite the fact of it's scalability imperfections, this doesn't stop people from using bitcoin even if there are alts created to fix the scalability issues of bitcoin, but because they are run by a group of people, this has created a huge difference against bitcoin.

Yeah true, it is not controlled by anyone and it is really decentralized, not fake decentralized like so many projects out there right now. I believe that we are going to end up seeing most of them not do that differently and not that well, because most of them are not really decentralized they just promote it as such but in reality they are still centralized.

Whereas, bitcoin is 100% decentralized for real and that means it will always stay at the top, plus it's the biggest and the first one so there is a factual reason to keep it at the top as well, we need a proper reason to take it from the first place and we do not have a reason like that right now, which is why it is going to keep staying at the top until we have a reason not to.
