The career part for greater success is just been layed, his team will be competing for next season's champions League this time around and he will be showcasing his prowess in the champions League, if not for Atalanta that got in their way, Leverkusen would have successfully won the Europa League. so the grass is greener here in Leverkusen for Alonso.
Manchester city should look for somebody else, if not for the unbeatable record xabi just kept for Leverkusen on their domestic league, would they have ordinarily called him? Of course the answer is no. Manchester city should look for replacement for pep guardiola somwhere else.
