I thought Luka Modric would retire at the end of this season. Because Luka Modric is now 39 years old. And now it's a tough task for Modrich to be on the field for the full 90 minutes. I agree with you that this is too much for both Madrid and Modric. Most of the players in Madrid's squad are now young. So having an experienced player like Luka Modric with Madrid will inspire the young players of Madrid. and will become experienced. And that's why Madrid manage to extend Luka Modric's contract by 1 year.
