Infact sometimes, depending on the situations and wallets, even open source wallets like ELECTRUM can pick a random wrong fee at first. Today I did a very small transaction and ETA on my wallet suggested I made use of 3.2 sats/vbyte and it would arrive in the next block. However I didn't make use of 3.2 sats/vbyte I first went to check the MEMPOOL and I noticed 5 sats/vbyte for lowest priority and I made use of 5.2 sats/vbyte incase fees increased but I was a little wrong. I was supposed to stick to 3.2 sats/vbytes but I didn't since I just thought 5.2 was ok since it was still around US working hours.

Anyways my point is it's better to use a slightly bigger fee than use a very small fee and end up paying extra.
You should try checking the MEMPOOL anytime you want to make a transaction too it helps alot especially to save fees.
Pls what's OT you mentioned.
