because I think gambling is the worst substance than drugs. but it seems like you are gone, and I will also catch up with you if I don't get a way out from the gambling trap that ruined my finances until I'm deeply in debt.
It's actually a matter of approach, because gambling can and should be fun, and for me personally it's much less evil than drugs or alcohol, although of course I don't want to minimize the problems that arise from any kind of addiction. We can now discuss whether the greater blame lies with those who offer gambling or the greater blame lies with those who cannot control themselves - perhaps it would be correct to say that both sides bear the blame.

I don't think the comparison is fair in general, but there are different degrees in the use and abuse of these substances and activities. -snip-
I'm not saying that he doesn't have the right to his opinion, but I wonder if he has the
"experience" to compare gambling and drugs in terms of addiction - for which I personally believe that the latter is far worse. -snip-
Yes, I didn't mean you meant that either, and I agree with you that addiction to substances are worse in general than gambling addiction, exceptions apart. For one reason gambling is legal in most non Islamic countries, but hard drugs aren't. Even if we compared gambling with legal substances like alcohol or tobacco, I would keep thinking that the comparison is unfair. But I can understand how someone who had a very bad experience, like the OP, can think otherwise.
