Their best team was in 2016 or 2017 when Virat Kohli team took RCB to the semi final. The media rights revenue for IPL is huge, but it is still a fraction of the same with other big leagues around the world, such as the National Football League (NFL), English Premier League (EPL) and National Basketball Association (NBA). And given the smaller size of economy in India, it is likely to remain that way at least for the next 2-3 decades. So what can be done to make cricket comparable to football in terms of financials?
