That's the point ng signed message if someone claim it na sa kanila nga yung fund since wala ka ring ka alam-alam if sino may ari, so later baka gumawa ka ng post either in any platform, reddit, fb, X, dito sa forum, anywhere na someone mistakenly sent fund sa X address mo. Hindi ko na inexplain ito in my earlier post pero that's the point nung signed message.

Now if someone is claiming na sa kanila nga daw yung fund after seeing your post, dito papasok ang social engineering to lure at utuhin itong user to send the funds to scammers.

Sa example mo na may nag post na X user mistakenly sent funds to X address, for proof of ownership, valid pa rin ang pag hingi ng signed message to verify yung ownership. Now if itong nag post ay mag sabi na sa exchange siya nag send or sa isang custodial platform, well, ask for screenshot or video screen capture na siya nga gumawa nung transaction so need na ng signed message but need pa rin ng ilang proof for verification lang na siya nga owner ng funds.

You are right on this point, If the issue is a bitcoin transaction, if there is a mistake in sending, even if the sign-message is just for verification that the address is really his,
I think it is valid. Because if no sign-message is shown, that means the address is not his but a scammer you are talking to.

Then if you do it and post something like X and that is the situation where you have received bitcoin, of course many scammers will pretend that they are the owner of the address,
it seems like you were the reason for the scammers to have the opportunity to scam. This is just my opinion.
