There are many people who are not addicted to gambling in this forum, they gamble, but because the gamble responsibly, becoming addicted has been something that they have been able to avoid over the years. If you are interested in quitting gambling due to issues it is causing you in your life, think first of trying to go a day without gambling, then try a week and then a month. The smaller goals you set and achieve will make the bigger goals easier to achieve.

It takes more than going a day without gambling, addiction isn't a joke it's actually going to take a lot of effort to stop... there are people that skipped gambling for weeks and even months but they relapsed along the line, so it's not about just avoiding it for 24 hours...most people believe that an addiction is forever going to be part of the individual dealing with it, even if that's not entirely true but there's an atom of sense in that.. instead of focusing on quitting it's better for the gambler to think of how to control it first, this is the first step in stopping any addiction.
