If Russia was always ready for a peace talk, why they had to start this war? They're ready for peace negotiations, but things haven't changed since March 2022 - they only ready to talk with their initial conditions and these conditions basically means capitulation of Ukraine. Like, return of even part of occupied land to Ukraine can't be even questioned. It's nothing strange that Ukraine can't accpet such conditions.

Russia started the war thinking that they would overrun Ukraine in three days. But the fight went out of control and that might also be the reason why they want a ceasefire. The return of annexed land back to Ukraine will be very difficult. I just hope both parties will find common ground and accept this peace deal because we want an end to death and destruction.
