Well In as much I think I couldn't understand what you are trying to say but from the little I could understand not all investors who buy assets are consider long term holders, as an investor you most focus more on the part of long term strategy buying and hold strategy, while the traders are know for the short term market gains and their are active buying and selling and their are always best at using the technical analysis to predict price movements.

They are two different breeds of activities.

If that wasn't the case, there wouldn't be a term like "investor".

I agree with you betswift, if their was no different between investors and traders they would have not been given a sperate title, investors walks in different direction from how traders think and reason they are all looking for profit but base on different ideas.
