I have said, that the eyes is not such a big problem, but athletic commission might now allow to compete anyway, so he would fight outside US. Now he is fighting in Vegas. I have googled Nevada income tax (I suppose that is what fighters pay) and everything became clear: "No State Income Tax on Individuals: Nevada residents do not pay state tax on income earned from salaries, wages, or similar compensation". So everything you earn - its yours (minus team expenses).

If you are champ and earn more than 190k, you will have to give half (45% actually) as a tax.
