I think once you start doing a few years of quitting, and instead using the time spent on improving yourself in other aspects (plus go do DCA) you'll realize as I did, you gain SO much more as a person.
Maybe you didn't have to pour out those words just to discourage him even though you appears like you're trying to help him not lose more than he already had because you think there's nothing more for him to learn or know than he will do afterwards. Trading requires a long time of effective learning and dedication to it to be able to do better, and every loss ought to be an experience gained. Because a good trader should have to get back on knowing why a specific trade went wrong and where he missed it in order to learn for next time. DCAing isn't bad anyway but not everyone will want to DCA as much as they want to be trading.

But I want to discourage him Tongue I want to discourage all the people possible that they give up trading and thank me later even if they forgot it was my words that discouraged them years ago hehe

You can get 10 years experience like I did, and like a lot of people do, and you forget the fundamental truths that you start as a loser as soon as you start trading. And you can't ever have all the advance knowledge that market makers have. If you are prepared to go against the odds, understanding that probability of you losing is higher than your brain understands, fine. If not, if you want to make money, move away from trading.
hmmm... Maybe some persons should just give it a try further than just giving it up as quick as possible as you said you did. The results may not be same for everyone. No doubt there's a lot of market manipulations going on in the market but we still have a few traders doing fine with profit and hence you couldn't find yourself in those few after giving some valuable 10 years into trading doesn't mean  everyone might face similar fate. Am just saying tho
