Yes that is true, the club has invested heavily on recruitment in the past 5 seasons, something they have not been doing even with Arsene Wenger and still there is very little to show for it. The fans are getting frustrated, Arsenal have become a club for ridicule and losing bragging rights, they need a change this season. This should mount enough pressure on Mikel Arteta to bring home a major trophy this season.

They’re in four this season, the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup, the Premier League, and the Champions League. Well let’s see what trophies they’ll bring home with their very expensive squad. At least one trophy must be bagged this season and their premier targets are undoubtedly the Premier League which they haven’t won for over two decades and the Champions League which they have never.

However, it is great that this season they have done what is necessary to strengthen the team, and now Arsenal can easily achieve some targets. If Arsenal had understood the importance of signing these players long ago, during all those seasons when they were close to the top, they would have won one or two trophies by now.

They are strong but for some unexplained reason every season always end up fighting to lift trophies even when they are one step into winning them. Now, with a complete squad, Arsenal will once again be a very strong contender in every competition. What the season holds with Arteta at the helm and for Arsenal at the end of the season is what everyone is itching to know. This season should hold proof that Arsenal indeed is the best club in London and one of the giants in the Premier League.
