As long we've realized and learn our lesson, I don't think it will happen again. It happened to me before, I thought that I can earn for a living through gambling after reading some articles about professional gamblers who make a lot of money through sports betting and playing poker. But trying it first hand is really different and you will understand more once you are losing, as the time goes by I realized that it's not for me and I can only play to past time but not alternative for to earn money.
It's same way that this social media influencers make gambling looks like a get rich quick scheme when it's not true. Really, there are lucky gamblers who went far beyond normal analysis to predict sportbet and become successful but they're only a few of them. Majority of people coming into gamble do have a misconception about it and that's why they feel that gambling is a short cut to riches.
I also had this mentality in the beginning which made me to start gambling in order for me to make more money but I lost the little money I had. I am happy that, I was able to realize it fast before things get out of hands.
I'm curious to know how you go about your gambling after realising its not a shortcut to wealth. Did you stop gambling or or stop taking huge risks? Your experience can help others who might still be nurturing the idea of shortcut to wealth via gambling by making them have the right mindset which will guide their actions and the resultant outcome.
