I like to think about it as a bunch of individuals who share an interest, yet we are posting and communicating about our interest and we even have a table that shows our activities as individuals and then how they add up. We are sharing ideas yet we are hopefully coming to our own conclusions regarding the extent that we consider the daily (or otherwise periodic) pushups.

Umm.. Your idea is right.
Generally table shows how different everyone's perspectives and experiences can be. I think tracking through a table is a great thing to do and it will increase motivation on the one hand and allow you to see your progress before your eyes. We are all sharing and learning and making our own decisions. We will get a good idea/goal of where real growth is happening.

I adjusted several of my practices based on my having interactions in this thread to help to give me ideas about how I might shoot for certain targets and/or change some of my routine - even though I have been complaining at several points about injuries and not being sure if I was to do such pushups.

Even though I keep my own spreadsheet, some guys mostly keep track of their pushups through this thread, even if they might take notes on pieces of paper or on their phone or on their computer, when they publish their pushup table to the thread, then they have a running log that is periodically updated through their submitting a new pushup report. Many thanks to DirtyKeyboard for figuring out a script that did some of the daily work and included some creativity bells and whistles, even though DirtyKeyboard has been interacting with the tool and the script from time to time, too.
