Personally i would have insisted in a refund, cause you have already lost a lot of time that won't help in your ROI

I would rather they gave refund, but they won't budge. Frankly, I need to cut my losses at this point.

Good luck getting any refund from UPS. My dad shipped some speakers and they got all smashed up. He insured them and UPS told him it was not packed correctly so he would not get his money back.
