It might be difficult for Chelsea to win the title next season, because all the three clubs that finished ahead of Chelsea last season are also signing new players and attackers to strengthen the club. Liverpool has been busy buying attackers and same with Arsenal. I see a very interesting and competitive season ahead of us which no one can predict the exact club to win the title. Only United might disappoint us.
Most likely next season is going to be a really though one because I see that all the top teams are making attempts to strengthen their squads with the kind of signing they are making already, Chelsea will not win the premier league easily that is if they are able to win it but most likely they may not win the premier league because I doubt if they have the capacity to knock out other top teams and get the trophy by the end of the season. For me Liverpool and Arsenal are my most anticipated to have the title. Real Madrid is a very big club and has many star players so Modric has to compete with many younger star players there. The failures of Real Madrid in the past season results in his departure from Real Madrid as if they win titles like La Liga and Champions League, he would have been signed another 1-year contract by the club. The departure already happened as did the transfer to AC Milan, now it is a very last chapter in his career begins with this club. He is able to write this chapter as a good one before his retirement too.
The question now according to your comment is, will he be able to win these trophies at AC Milan, most likely No, AC Milan is not in that capacity, and does not have the depth that will be able to get them to win the trophy especially the champions league, they could make a very good attempt at others but not at the champions league even with him present so he could just see there as a place to fo get his retirement and end his career as a football but may begin prospects to be a coach. In a country where the citizens, especially the active Labour force struggle for survival due to lack of employment opportunities, lack of basic amenities and little or no incentives or credit facilities to motivate and encourage young entrepreneurs and business people, a good number of the citizens will gamble for money whether the government supports them or not with some good gambling regulations.
One thing about these governments that don't support their citizens economically is that no matter the hardship, they will legalise gambling so they can generate revenue from these gambling platforms. Apart from that, there is nothing much they do again. Corruption is just the norm over there. Sadly, quite alot of poor gamblers are addicted, yet nothing is done about it.
Even the working labour force are sometimes under paid so in oder for them to be able to make ends meet, they result to gambling to see if they can make some extra cash from it only to end up loosing out at the end of it all. The club world cup is an important tournament so you saying that it was not an important tournament is not true the fact is that Madrid was not in the right form this season that was why PSG was able to beat them that much let see how Alonso will try and build a new team with this madrid side
I'm surprised with the way people assume club world cup to be less important trophy, a competition that is being held once in four years, with a higher prizes than the Champions League. Imagine having a special badge printed on jerseys for a whole period of four years, what any other team wouldn't get for that period. Whether my favorite team qualifies or couldn't make it, i still consider club world cup an important competition as the likes of others.This is simply absurd, you can't believe in something that increases your chances of winning by praying, faith or whatever it is must serve for something else, not to make us win bets, it's a terrible thing and in fact anyone who believes it works isn't very intelligent
Some persons are so Indoctrinated that they no long see and knew boundaries on certain issues, they somehow found a way to drag in their religious affairs into all of their activities and not understand that even religion has got a stance on some of these things. Firstly most religion do not agree to gambling as something they can encourage and so it makes no sense trying to catty out religious activities on some of our circular activities meanwhile the religion does not support it in any way, let us hope people come to the realisation of these things soon.I also disappointed with Bayer Leverkusen 5-1 loss to Flamengo U20 team. It was worrying sign because Leverkusen had very little of ball made few good passes and barely shot at goal. Flamengo U20 team clearly controlled game which led to their five goals. Yes that is right that many Leverkusen players need to improve much and are making too many mistakes meaning they have some big problems to fix before main season begins.
Still been disappointed at Leverkusen at this time may mean you had a very huge expectation from them and you probably esteemed the preseason game to a good extent but then it is possible same is not what Leverkusen was about or that particular game, Leverkusen may ha e seen that game as just training and helping their opponent gain confidence when they go back to play at their level. It may surprise you to know that some of the Leverkusen players may even be at their best and will be really in their best form waiting for the season to commence and have just used that game to warm up. If Galatasaray didn't benefit under the one year loan contract that Victor Osimhen spent with them that's when I will believe they took a great risk to sign him for that amount but under one season with Galatasaray Victor Osimhen became the best player of the team, the league highest goal score and he was instrumental in the teams league title win and the league up after checking all this don't you think the team knew why they signed him? Let's hope that Victor Osimhen is injury free he can't stop scoring goals.
Very true, Osimhen has been so beneficial to the team that they have seen beyond just the loan contract term and has seen it deserving to spend such amount to acquire him, I do not see it as a risk because they know how much they will be able to achieve within the period of his contract, having him as a player of the team through the period of his contract will give Galatasaray a boost that will be of a great benefit to both them and even himself so it is a situation of both parties winning so it is not a risk and even if it is, it can be considered deserving and a good risk.Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)
In the just-concluded Club World Cup tournament, Chelsea showed that PSG could be beaten, but the defeat will not have any negative impact on PSG's performance next season, and I believe PSG is still a big threat for clubs in the UEFA Champions League because there are a lot of big clubs that are still trying to strengthen their teams to be at the level of the PSG team.

Just like last season the expectations where high on the bigger team jut like it was two seasons ago that these teams were even seen as favourite for the trophy but in th end the least expected team happened to win the trophy, so it is always better not to jump into conclusions about a team probably because of their initial performance or their known strength and depth. A team can actually be performing poorly in their domestic league only to do even better in the europa and sometimes it is possible these teams may just be lucky and push up there and then you find them almost winning the trophy maybe because they have put in all their energy that due to their expectations from there. For next season everything will be different and for what happened in the Club World Cup I think it can't be used as a reference anymore but it must be admitted that for PSG it won't be easy next season because defending the UCL title is very difficult but I think apart from that the PSG team still has to be watched out for, I don't see their shortcomings after losing to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final, that's a normal thing for a team when they can't perform at their best.
Exactly, the club world cup is over and we should probably try to get over it and not make too many comparisons and references from it as these teams will definitely do even better than they did at the club world cup meanwhile some my still be wanting to judge them on that basis. Even PSG will now lookalike the errors in that game and get the team fixed not to allow that happen or interfere with their new season performance both in the Ligue 1 and the champions league. Mbappe is no small name when it comes to the football world and I believe he has been handling pressure for some time now and him wearing this iconic number will instead boost his confidence the more since he knows fully well the caliber of players that have actually wore and befitted that number of the jersey. For now there is no team that can challenge PSG as far as the French ligue 1 is concerned because the gulf between PSG and the other teams is very wide but going into the next season this defeat to Chelsea has shown areas that PSG should improve on so that they can maintain this top form the coach has already stated after the game that they where going to review the game and look at areas where they got it wrong.
So far it's only madrid that has won the champions League back to back in this era so it will be difficult for PSG to replicate that
Ligue 1 has mostly never been a problem to PSG ever since they started dominating the league, they have their strength both financially and with the quality of their team and this has further continued to keep their morale, but this does. Not fo beyond the Ligue 1, even with the champions league they won, I still do not want to see them as been unstoppable or too formidable for other teams out there, untill they are able to replicate a fragment of Madrid's results at the champions league, for me they are not solid enough in the champions league but still tops in their Ligue 1.So far it's only madrid that has won the champions League back to back in this era so it will be difficult for PSG to replicate that

It's crazy to use preseason results to judge a team knowing how less important they can be, it is mostly an extention of training to boost preparedness for the new season ahead, so such results cannot be used to judge a team. I agree the preseason games should be seen as just entertainment and let us use it to see the newly bought players on their first appearance in their new teams aswell. Even if they aren't competing for trophies, Milan should be able to improve their squad to compete for the top spot in Serie A. Milan struggled quite a bit last season, finishing in eighth place. This wasn't an expected result, as they were previously a top place contender. They made short term efforts to immediately revamp the team's performance for maximum results. But we'll see how they perform in the new season.

I saw a video of Rashfords Training sections few days ago and I can not agree any less that he is going to do even better at Barcelona, it is a very different environment from what he had at Manchester United and the experience is going to be different to so I will go with the idea of judging him with his last Manchester United performance and think he will be doing same with Barcelona, here he will be willing to show value so that he can earn some recognition and Importance to the team so it is obviously a different mentality all together. Everyone is tired of having high expectations for Man United, and now people prefer to have low expectations to avoid being too disappointed with the results. though people hope that Man United can finish this season with good results, if the end result is the same or worse, then let it be. He's has had his first experience at the champions league as the head coach of Bayern Munich last season, I was even of the opinion that Las seasons champions league was just to get experience for kompany and his team, it is in this season I will be expecting he makes use of the experience he has been able to gather from the previous champions league because he has obviously been there before. Even if he does not win the champions league this season, he should be able to go beyond the knockout stage to the semi-finals then it can be said his experience did counted.
