Re: [Discussion] Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk 🍕

It's not against the rules, but neither is leaving those who voted that way red trust ratings or discarding their votes (I believe Icopress reserved such option) + banning them from future voting.
How do we know which names are implicated?  Is someone going to give a list?
I do have a list (and so do other users) but I don't think it's fair to publish anything while icopress is still counting the votes. Eventually we can talk about this after the contest has been officially closed, announcing names and votes now it could somehow influence/tamper the final results, and as I always said I care about the contest's fairness, making names now would be quite a hypocritical move, so I don't want to do that.

One nice phrase for you..

Go fuck yourself..  asshole

If you want to expose your children to financial education and you have a business that you are running, it's good you take them there during the weekends or when they are on holidays. Give them the money for the house up keep and, direct them on how to spend it. Also get saving box for them, and encourage them to be putting any money given to them as gift into their saving boxes.
true. This is actually a good way to establish their financial growth. They have to see how you do it too. Learn from it and also learn the discipline that comes with it. But what if the parents or home that lacks this discipline?

Can we establish that financial intelligence is not a genetic trait, but an acquired trait, and by that, just as charity begins at home, financial education also begins at home.

Children who grow up in an environment where their parents practice strong financial discipline and it is very evident because of how it has created a balanced growing environment for them where they never lacked nothing but at the same time never wasted anything, will grow up to become children who will also show signs of strong financial intelligence. Do you agree?
how do we go about children who do not have a home or parents to start with? How do we generate the financial discipline? How do they gain their financial education?

Why is nobody talking about the $1.4 billion worth of ETH on Bybit?
how did this even happen?  I think this is the biggest hack in crypto history. Isn't it the biggest theft in history?

Re: Save to Draft interval
by

on 22/02/2025, 10:18:47 UTC
I noticed something recently  regarding the draft but I will like ask if the draft has a specific save to draft interval or all we have to do is click on the preview button everytime we need to save to draft.
If yes then can we have a lees time interval to accomplish this  , if a min interval would be better.
I recently lost a wall of texts due to sudden reload of the Web page, not sure what triggered it but I know it's unusual and I know there will be other members who had similar experiences, sometimes it could be an indelibrate reload of  a Web page.

yeah. Same here. Lost a whole write up and the inspiration gone. But then I have another issue, why is it that I can't send out of the draft? Like when I get to the draft after a preview or reload, it's been drafted. I was thinking it's gonna be something like a resend or send button there, but no. I feel like crying.

I become a victim of this scheme which a user is using a money come from scam or hack bank account which they send the money on my account in exchange to my Bitcoin. The result is I was subjected to investigation and the bank freeze my account since the bank claiming that my funds came from illegal activity which is already flagged to the authority.
This is sad, but how do this scammers do this like were you not vigilant enough to notice if they send the money from an account that match with the name the merchant use on the exchange? Because I know cases like this is the reason why third party payment is frown upon. If crypto is legal in your place your history from binance might be enough evidence to clear your name but the funds and your bitcoin can’t be returned.
how vigilant can one be? This is p2p I think. How exactly do you keep asking everyone the source of funds before transacting with them. It's basically business and this is one of the risks involved. You just have to prove your innocence to the bank to clear your account. Sorry to hear about that though.

by

on 21/02/2025, 22:34:56 UTC
Punishments are too soft too off course everbody will do bad things because no punishments.
punishments exist, they are just applied on the wrong people

you will often see low class people going to jail for stealing something so minuscule meanwhile look at the wealthy, influential people who can commit all kinds of crimes and still be able to walk freely worse run for political office and still win

it shows that the system favors the rich people which is why they can get away with pretty much anything
I agree with you totally. There is justice but it's always met on the wrong people, those that do not deserve it, and sometimes it's against the people it should stand for. I'm weakened by the society I find myself in.

Re: why would someone think of suicide?
by
100steeze
on 20/02/2025, 18:58:23 UTC
now there are many suicides, especially because the economy that is still unstable makes them even more stressed.

but actually, apart from stress, what makes someone think about ending their own life? What do you think
Have you ever felt hopeless?
People choose suicide as an escape from the things that they feel like they couldn't handle.
There are some who couldn't handle their emotion and all sorts of problems whether it is a family, love or financial problems.
They couldn't open up or doesn't have someone to talk to in order to lessen the burden that they are feeling at that moment.
hopelessness? That's the worst of it all.

There are actually a lot of reasons why one would commit suicide these days.
Poverty or financial instability is the most common reason these days. Especially when that individual has been on the upside of finance. There also another common reason like bullying, which is common amongst teenagers as they feel that's the best way to end it all as the bully or bullies would never stop. Relationship issues, starting with breakups and abuses in the relationship. That's also common. Also there is pain and suffering especially due to health challenges. Abuse from spouse or friends either verbally or physical. Confusion about what's next in life. Imagine one without direction, that person is prone to suicidal thoughts. Depression is also common. Due to a lot of reasons, one could go into depression and then suicide. There are a lot of reasons today but these are basic and common I think.

Re: What quality do you think a husband must have to keep a healthy marriage
by

You should be intelligent enough to control your wife. And by intelligence I mean Light. If you have alot of it your wife will be under your power, and will see you as her master and fully submit to you.
Ofcourse this light only comes from the CREATOR.
did you say control? Who wants to be controlled? Even an animal gets tired of being controlled and most times retaliate. Why would you want to control a human? She sure would get tired one day and try to gain freedom. The moment she sees your control as caging and not care anymore, you become out of bounds. I don't think that marriage to be healthy.

Marital issues now our days is high I guess compared to past age (just guessing). Like the hike in the rate of divorce and so on.

A man with well developed EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE can be able handle alot and keep things balanced for himself and his family.

What quality do you think a husband must have to keep a healthy marriage (family life and lifestyle).

it's really not an only husband thing but you see these qualities, tolerance and understanding is a must. Being able to provide for each other is vital a quality too.

Truly, you are still young in you 30's but what is the use of your money if you don't have the strength to spend it. Imagine you are older, maybe in your 60's and extremely rich and you health doesn't allow you fly in planes or eat foods you have always craved? "Enjoy your money when you are young". Ever heard those words? Don't be in a rush to be rich but be in a hurry to be comfortable or more that comfortable in your early stage. It takes you a long way even when you are growing old, you just have to keep improving on what you have not trying to get what you don't have at an old age.

Re: What are some Disadvantages Of Investing In Bitcoin
by
100steeze
on 20/02/2025, 14:02:46 UTC
For me, I think the major disadvantages are just in terms of the market being a volatile one by means of price fluctuations, the rapid drops at any point in time. It could be influenced by almost any world happening at the time I think resulting in great or small losses. How about the high level of unpredictability? That should be considered too.
And for another major disadvantage which is the security risks. The hacks of transactions, wallets, the high level of fraudulent activities in the Bitcoin world. Also imagine you misplace your private keys or security phrase to a wallet while transferring wallets, I guess it's all gone. An example, the man looking for his hard disks in the dump.  These are major lookouts while investing.

Re: What is the hope of Shitcoins?
by
100steeze
on 20/02/2025, 13:35:30 UTC
Am not seeing any better chances of shitcoins improving crypto industries and better the lives of investors and miners. Or what do you think?
I think shitcoins helps the industry o because most times I see it as traffic flow for the industry. Something like a community buildup. Secondly, many investors prefer to hold these coins because it's easier for investment, they simply just profit from it's dump and pump. They hold and wait till the price is high or inflated. All they do is sell all their holdings at the very peak. Easy peasy. I also think most of this shit coins have great space for improvements and developments and that's HOPE. BUT mindfully, it's very risky o. Be very cautious whilst dealing with these coins.
Nope shitcoins will always be a tool for profiting. Many devs and users are used to it so they know it will still exist in the long run. Most projects are recycyled and aome of these shitcoins are just revive in the new name. Im guessing CZ is trying to change the game with their own style on memecoin. But Id see it will not work as intended since many degen still like the usual case.

As far as I know, they have been secured. Although one should always note and verify the authenticity of the website before proceeding. Always ensure you are on the right site. Cause I see some complains and that could be the cause too. Meanwhile, but address to my best of knowledge has been a secured site to create an address for this sole reason. I came to understand and confirmed that "not your private keys nor your wallet informations are transmitted, transferred or stored on their servers". This reduces the risk of losses or site is being compromised.
Yet it's very necessary to tread with extra caution.
