Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process

Hey everyone,

I finally made it back home. During my trip the backup server decided it was a great time to fail. This caused the main systems to fill up with logs due to current extreme logging that is in place and break cookie data. i.e. cookie data was unavailable meaning new logins were not possible and anyone logged in had empty cookie data so the system showed 0's.

I have already got everything cleaned back up.

I am going to _try_ to get the AM claim port up on Monday and then building in the loan claiming.

-Ukyo
It is not working for me at this time.

I, too, am getting the following:

Code:
Balance Stuck 0.00000000 Available 0.00000000 Withdrawn 0.00000000

I had nearly BTC2 stuck in WeEx, never initiated a withdrawal due to the issues. I am also unable to login to the main WeEx site or BitFunder (redirects to homepage), only the claims site. When will the balance be updated on the claims site? Will I be able to initiate a withdrawal on the claims site?

Still no refund. Store status is still "refund processing." Now there is a glimmer of hope... but I don't want to be left out.

Now lets see if Yifu actually issues any of those refunds, this is starting to sound like nefario to me.

He hasn't refunded Batch 3 customers yet, what makes anyone think he'll honour chips refunds?

?? I'm pretty sure batch 3 customers got their refunds.
Are you fucking kidding me? Only one person got their refund. I and no one else have received theirs and have the blockchain to prove it.

Obviously you are no longer in control of your company Yifu.

EDIT: Details from ticket #1343 that was completely ignored. Refund form on Google Docs was also filled out.

Very Scary because we Don't know who are there? What they do? They charge an Extra 11% on top of their normal price.

$6.60 becomes $7.32

More Expensive compares to Cointera.
Now you're just making stuff up.

CoinTerra announced their 2 TH/s rig at $15,750. That's $7.88/GH. And, for now, that's your only option - you have to have a lot of cash upfront while XCrowd offers other options. They also aren't using escrow or other chargeback-able payment methods.

Not to construe this as advice for who you should purchase from, but it's one thing to urge caution and another thing to make stuff up.

I think you've spammed this enough to get your point across. You're looking like a troll with an axe to grind now.

I'm not sure why you keep saying "old timers" know this could be a scam. I'm an "old timer". I don't see their angle. Sure I have my doubts about how they could deliver, and they seem to be a bit inept at things and generally secretive, but how will they scam? They are only accepting escrow. They are much more generous than other pre-orders about refunds (and your funds will be sitting in escrow, so the escrow holders will be the ones following the terms).

They are charging 10% more if you choose to only put 30% in escrow now, which makes sense. You're electing to tie up 30% instead of 100% of your funds for a few months, so you pay a small premium.

Yes, I have an order with them. Does that mean I'm not a bit on edge? No, but I don't see how anything can go wrong either. As for some people saying they could send people rocks, I don't see John K releasing escrow if a bunch of people report they got rocks (their page also gives you time to test the unit after receiving before escrow is released to them).

Can we order without a power supply? $1,700 for two 1350 W power supplies is ridiculous. Two ATX power supplies with that sort of power would cost on the order of $1,000 less. Anyways I trust my own tried and tested power supplies way more.

You should be able to remove it from your cart - try "none" when choosing your PSU option.

It seems to not allow that for me with the plain HTML store.

I assume this also means plain ATX power supplies shouldn't be an issue.

Edit: It seems to be working for me now.

Just be grateful you're getting your refund.  Me (and 2 of my mates, we split the costs) all missed the link to the Google Docs spreadsheet until it was too late (we did request a refund through the official support site promptly though) and now we are the disappointed owners of a Batch 3 Avalon that will likely only generate about 60% of its cost at the current network hash rate increases Sad
Only one person received a refund. With recent events, I don't know if it's safe to say we'll receive one.

Unit Batches
Batch three have completely left our hands, may DHL be swift in their deliveries. The refunds will shortly follow, this is the same for any tradein orders ( ran into issues such as some people were receiving their address to pay while other are not). we understand we are very late in this department of processing any customer support related issue, we will not be making any excuses, but this is literally the only thing left on our plate now. In the future we hope to eliminate this problem by selling only in stock products that will ship in under 3 days.
On the horizon are two new product designs, we are fairly happy with the batch 3 design, which will conclude as the Avalon Version 1 final design. In addition we will have a new 2 module unit coming to market and a 2U 17inch deep server blade slated as Avalon Version 2.

[snip]
Why can't you begin processing refunds now? Why didn't you start them weeks ago? It's not like you're personally assembling Batch 3 units and you already know which units to withhold from shipping. Please tell us concretely when you will being processing refunds. Most of us have plans for the Bitcoins that you have tied up and are unable to execute those plans while you hold them. We are missing potential investments everyday you hold them.

I need my bitcoons, Yifu. What will I do without my bitcoons, damnit!

You should only get your refund by the time the regular users get their break even point, so in a few months.

Why should you get your refund up front? Queue with the rest of us...
That makes no sense. A refund has no prerequisite on the rest of you that decided to not get a refund for breaking even. If you're mad about that, say so, but there's no reason to punish those that decided to get a refund (also a hint, you'll never break even). We should get our Bitcoins. What's the holdup? Yifu isn't personally assembling Avalons, he can process refunds. Let's say 50% of everyone took refunds, that's up to 300 customers to refund (actually less, assuming each customer ordered only one Avalon). Assuming for whatever weird reason, each refund took him a half hour (to properly research it or whatever, if their store was decent it and he didn't allow himself to be overwhelmed with ignored tickets it wouldn't take this long). That's 16 refunds per eight hour day and he'd be done in less than 20 days. Though, maybe he'll get tired half way through and decide to take a month break... sounds about right, we're just the whiny customers who don't deserve anything.

Yifu, where is our refunds? You should understand now that many of us will never consider buying from you again because of how you've treated us.

No, not if you paid with Bitcoin. Your only recourse is to complain loudly to the FTC and attorney general. Or sue them. Or maybe if you make a big enough stink in this forum, you'll get a forced refund.

Can anyone tell me their ratio of stale to rejected shares? I.e. The SS figure in cgminer, and the R figure. And over what time period.

Also, if anyone is using --no-submit-stales, can you tell me your address?

Middlecoin is my main pool, have only one failover pool. It's a rig with 4x5850s. cgminer has been up for quite a long time as you can see. I am not using --no-submit-stales.

Still no refund for me either.  29 days and counting since first ticket was logged.

Unfortunately I was a little late with submitting the Google doc ticket, which I mentioned in it about the previous ticket that was logged on support.avalon-asic.com many days prior.

I really hope Yifu will still honour the refund!

What is this talk of a Google Doc? there was nothing mentioned about said document when Yuffie said to submit a "refund ticket" through the support website?
There was this link to a Google Docs form in the last newsletter with instructions to fill it out before that Monday. I actually didn't see it at first either.

But at this point, if you want a refund and didn't fill that out, you're probably screwed (though I would fill it out anyways to try). I submitted a ticket after submitting that form and it's been completely quiet. No refund, no response to ticket, nothing. Guess I shouldn't have expected anything more. I need my BTC101.24, but we're just their customers - what right do we have to anything? I mean, it doesn't really matter if you can't keep any promises in this business, right? Roll Eyes

PAL and NTSC are TV formats ...

I think you wanted to point out the difference in frequency ... 50Hz and 60Hz ... which is also present in PAL/NTSC but still, those have nothing to do with electricity or sockets Wink

No, I'm talking about electricity, but yes, I did reference TV formats on accident. But what I meant was Euros use 220v and in the States it's 110v standard and often converters can be necessary depending on the device.
I'm not aware of any ATX computer power supply (what Avalons use) that do not work on either voltage. Most now work on anywhere from ~90V-260V, at either 50 or 60 Hz. At the worst case you'll have to use a switch on the back to select which (doubt if any Avalon's shipped without active PFC PSUs - I haven't seen one in years). Thus all that's needed is a male-ended Aussie plug to C13.

Looks like this'll do the trick. Basically anything that goes into your Aussie socket to a female C13 should work fine (in case you can get it locally).
