Re: 5 tips for recognizing scams through whitepaper research
by

on 16/08/2019, 16:26:27 UTC
Thanks for this post, I really appreciate it. There are a few advices I wouldn't even think of and it's really helpful. One thing is very important - to check whether the people who are standing behind a project are not only real - even if they are real you always should search for their past activities, check if they weren't implicated in some ponzi schemes, or illegal activities. And right now i need to take a closer look at some whitepapers.

Re: Crypto and Cannabis Are the Perfect Post-Crisis Bubbles

Is this some kind of bait Cheesy? I dunno, but for me crypto and cannabis are perfect-match, especially with current regulations approaching for both markets. People will always search for the simplest way to do something, and regulations made in US and Europe are sometimes taking the air from the companies which are trying to survive in the face of capitalism. That's why i support BitCanna project and it's great that they are finally listed on CoinDeal exchange (via: https://coindeal.com/news/bitcanna-listing)

Re: Pink Care Token

Lack of basic sanitary supplies is something unimaginable, but for many women this is a sad reality. Binance Charity decided to do something wit that, and they have launched Pink Care Token. Thanks to blockchain technology, all donation make for this purpose ar 100% transparent, with transactions cost cut to the absolute minimum.
I'm glad that blockchain is actually use for such noble goals

It's a shame that we need blockchain just to be sure whether the donation is transparent and the money funded for charity isn't used for "money laundering" purposes. Every day bring news, showing that humanity hasn't solved the basic problems, and nothing seems to be change. The differences between poor and the wealthy are going to increase. The article has put the words correctly - it's a trap for those women, a trap they can't escape alone. Glad that Binance is trying to do something - i just hope it's for the good cause and that the Pink Care Token is going to work properly.

Re: With Bitcoin, a future is not clear

Future is always unpredictable and with the bitcoin, it's always safe

wow, that's a REALLY brave words to say, with current fluctuations, which are still making btc a very unsafe investment, especially if you aren't experienced in cryptocurrencies thread. Future is always unpredictable and so is bitcoin, there is no certainty that the market won't fall in the next couple years (hope not, but you never know).

Pledging your land and property just to buy btc is one of the craziest ideas i've ever heard of. Right now the real estate market is much more stable than cryptocurrency market.

Re: This is the the reason why Bitcoin price will go down and not up long term
by

on 21/06/2019, 14:57:42 UTC
Bitcoin will never be instant, and that's why people won't use it long term. In our dynamic world things need to be fast and instant.

bitcoin was never meant to be "instant-confirmation" and people have been using it fine so far knowing it is not like that.

although bitcoin fees these days are not a problem as you think but i agree that having such high fees and having them shoot up like what it did over the past 30 minutes is bad for bitcoin adoption as a currency.

Exactly, i think that too many websites and exchanges are promoting their services using claims like "instant transaction", "instant confirmation" as a part of their  marketing strategies - it crooks the real time of the whole transaction, which for me is not the main problem in the adaption process.

Re: Favorite Bitcoin exchange?

Better option for me are websites like  BuyCoinNow where you can byt BTCs without registration or sharing your data, because of that the whole process is much faster and I feel safer

It's something, cause you don't need your ID or any personal data, but you need your credit card and when it comes to personal data - that's something. There are plenty ways to buy cryptocurrencies these days and buycoinnow is fine, but i'd rather stick to trusted exchanges like Binance, Bittrex or CoinDeal.

Re: Time Wasting at Funerals: Why?
by

on 06/06/2019, 13:41:51 UTC
If you go to a funeral of someone you do not care, it seems just a waste of time.

But if you go to a funeral of a loved one, the rituals can make it easier to say goodbye and help in the mourning process.

Do not judge.

And what is time Wasting? Two wasted minutes? Wow your time is precious. Funerals take many hours anyway.

I cannot agree more to be honest. It's not a waste of time unless you are defining it as a waste of time. I'm never present at funerals of people which I didn't know well. That's it. You decide whether a funeral is worth attending or not.

Re: Binance is Becoming a Crypto Monopoly
by
ACheair
on 06/06/2019, 12:04:02 UTC
I don't think that Binance will ever become a true monopolist, due to the simple fact that other exchanges are also constantly evolving (like for example coindeal is expanding by being available in US soon). If something will happen to Binance again (better not) in some nearest future, they will lose much more than just money, but a huge part of their credibility. Being a number one is great, but it also makes you the main target.

But we can't blame Binance for this, their services are great, it's amazing platform. I hope that they won't outgrow the rest of the players to be honest.

Re: Bitcoin Documentaries (12 Of My Favorites)

It's an amazing list, didn't know that there are so many documentaries about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, it's great, I am very thankful to you for sharing it.

Great list op. I might check them out soon though I am not really a big fan of documentaries myself. Rise and Rise of Bitcoin seems interesting. I enjoyed watching some recent documentaries like Planet Earth 2 which was rendered in 4K HDR.

I enjoy watching mainstream Bitcoin related stuff like Mr.Robot and Bitcoin & Friends which provide more entertainment value overall. We need similar content to help push adoption upwards.

Exactly, I've had huge fun while watching Mr. Robot and from what I heard some time ago, there supposed to be a tv series, main-themed Bitcoin, created in Hollywood, but there is no official info anywhere, so I think it was just a rumor. Unfortunately, because I would definitely watch it.

I can't do anything with bitcoin in my country

Even though you can't use your btc in your country, I would recommend you holding it, or you can buy some more (using exchange or services like buycoinnow which is cryptocurrency payment processor, hoping that some day regulations in your area will change. It's a great investment, and looking at this from the other perspective - you won't be tempted to spend your bitcoins ;p

Stake is definitely the most popular one right now, and as a part of primedice i am not surprised they've got so far with their services, but the fairness issue is very subjective in my opinion, it depends on what types of games are you playing.

Wonder where such projects like this one are going to be in the next few years, what things are going to change?

Re: Top 10 Altcoins in 2018
by
ACheair
on 07/05/2019, 16:54:11 UTC
My top 10 altcoin for this year which i buy and hold is Ethereum, Litecoin, Cardano, Digibyte, Electroneum, Binance coin, IOTA, Stellar, Nano and XLR. I will hold and i will wait until a bull run.

very reasonable choice in my opinion, there will be definitely a bull run sooner or later, so you just have to wait

My top 10 for this year is:

1. Ethereum
2. Cardano
3. Litecoin
4. Dash
5. FuturoCoin
6. Ripple
7. Nano
8. Monero
9. Stellar
10. Binance coin

Ethereum and Monero are very fundamental to me when it comes to long-term investments, i have huge trust in this projects, and i think that they can give a nice income after a while. Dash and FuturoCoin are similiar (FTO source code is based on dash, but they did some redevelopment couple weeks before, introducing new masternodes system) due to their high community engagement, really like those projects, hope them best. Can't wait to see the future of bnb tbh

Altcoin thread are very differentiated by itself. There are thousands of cryptocurrencies, of projects out here and many of them are working on a different rules than bitcoin, or even ethereum. It's obvious, but the differences are making them more or less volatile to market situation. Nonetheless i agree with an opinion, that many altcoins are very difficult to hold - for example, one of cryptos i held for months was FTO, and right now the price has dropped down a bit, but according to their medium (https://medium.com/futurocoinfto/a-futurocoins-masternode-5d51b23628e6) they are introducing some new solutions to their chain and masternodes system to be available for more people

Re: Shopping using crypto?
by
ACheair
on 24/04/2019, 17:22:15 UTC
I guess it's just the matter of time. Cryptocurrencies are going to replace many regular ways of using money and shopping is one of them. Honestly whenever i buy something in the internet i'm disappointed if i can't pay with cryptocurrencies - the fact that i wouldn't use for example my bitcoins to pay for something doesn't matter. We are oftenly feeling more comfy with cryptos than with regular money and there's nothing weird in it.

There is a lot of places like restaurants or cafes (for example FuturoNet Cafe in Wrocław where FTO are accepted)  and websites where you can by cryptos like BTC. I think it will develop soon

FTO is just one of the many examples, i like the way they are trying to expand - on their medium there is an article about the changes they want to bring: https://medium.com/futurocoinfto/a-futurocoins-masternode-5d51b23628e6

Re: Best crypto lottery?
by
ACheair
on 17/04/2019, 16:47:40 UTC
Ive been using freebitcoin for a while too, but it's meh, never won anything cool

Lottery  with government permission are surely legit and transparent they roll the winning number combination in front of the people using national television, but choosing lottery in online network need to choose correctly to avoid victim of scam.

It seems like you have not read my message before commenting because I gave very clear examples.

The fact that they roll winning numbers on television does not mean anything!

Here are some examples:

1. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-33746126

2. http://www.tirage-euromillions.net/en/blog/italian-lottery-scandal-the-blindfolded-children/

3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_Pennsylvania_Lottery_scandal

4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqRYpQuPypc

and more less famous or uncovered...

In all these examples they were also drawing numbers in front of millions of TV watchers. And were successfully cheating them at that time.

For the blockchain lottery (i mean truly decentralized, working automatically) it is truly impossible to cheat. NO way to cheat, absolutely.

Prove me wrong...

very interesting articles, this one with pennsylvania lottery shocked me. The problem with scams is huge, and looks like we're going nowhere to make the situation better

Recently i've found CryptoGamble - they've got some interesting lotteries there.

I've checked it, you intruiged me, and from what i can see, you can use Bitcoins and Ethereum there, hummm... And some scratch games too...
