Nottingham Forest has appointed Tottenham Hotspur formal coach, Postecoglou as Nuno Espirito Santo replacement after he was sacked yesterday by the club. From the last 8 coaches that has been incharge of the club, it's Nuno Espirito that has been the better coach among them. He has stayed the second longest before his sacking. Can the new coach handle what Nuno Espirito couldn't? Well, only time can tell if he can perform better.

Nuno Espirito is a better coach than Postecoglou in my opinion,  and I think his sacking was harsh. He really did well last season and I think he deserves more time from the club, but it's the club's decision to sack him.
Postecoglou is a good coach in his own way, but I don't think he will do better than Nuno Espirito, but I hope he proves me wrong, because I want him to succeed. I really wish they gave Nuno Espirito more time, because he is a good coach and will still get things right.
Well Nuno Espirito is a good coach and if not for him Nottingham forest will not be where they are now, he took over when the club was struggling and made them qualify for European competition. Towards the end of last season when Nottingham forest drew at home to liechester we saw how the owner of the club was furious and was yelling at Nuno, from there i knew he was not going last in the club.

Ange is a good coach and a very attacking minded, after sacking Nuno I think he is the best possible option. We saw the football he played at Tottenham, a very attacking football, if the players can give their best I think Nottingham forest might be looking sharp. Ange will have is first match This coming weekend let see how it goes for him.

You are right that for Inter Milan this is huge chance to not only get three points but also to regain confidence after their early season loss. Win against rival like Juventus would be massive mental boost. On other hand you wisely pointed out main question about Juventus. And trheir winning streak and home fans are advantages but match against team of Inter quality is completely different test. This game is true test of their form against Inter historical quality and experience in big games. So as you said match is very hard to predict. It will be battle of momentum versus motivation and that makes these derbies so exciting to watch.
When it comes to derby it very hard to predict, and even last season that juventus struggled in the league still inter were not able to beat them. One thing I know is that when it comes to games like this juventus being in foam or not always make a huge impact. So far this season juventus looks to be playing better and I don’t think inter Milan will be able to beat them convincing, I would even say inter best rest will be a draw in this fixture this coming weekend.

I'm not sure that Inter Milan can able to get all three against Juventus, if it were last season I would have agreed to this because Inter Milan were in a better form than Juventus especially in the first half of the season. Juventus started picking up form towards the last games of last season and they have brought same form to this season and in the process has won both games this season. Juventus is playing at home in front of their own fans, my prediction is Juventus to win or draw at most.
Yeah the match will be played at Turin and that a big boost for juventus as they will have thousands of fans cheering them up, they also started this season in a good way, winning there both matches so far, I expect a win or at least a draw from them in this game. Well the weekend is almost here and in no time we will watch the game.

In the first match of this season champions league which will be played next week Tuesday and Wednesday I’m looking forward for a lot of matches. We have all anticipated this season champions league and finally it is here.
The round one begin with an early kick off when Ath. Bilbao host Arsenal at home, it going to be an interesting one to watch as both teams will like to get their first win of the season in the champions league. Later that night Real Madrid host Marseille and juventus host Dortmond, Benfica host Qarabag and Tottenham host villareal.

On Wednesday which have a lot more of big matches to anticipate. Munich host chelsea, Newcastle host Barcelona, Manchester city Host Napoli, liverpool host Atletico Madrid and PSG host Atalanta. I really can’t wait to watch this matches.

Tomorrow, there will be a few matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Argentina vs Ecuador
Brazil vs Bolivia
Chile vs Uruguay
Venezuela vs Colombia
Peru vs Paraguay.

In Argentina vs Ecuador match, Argentina are favorites. But the quarter-final match of the last Copa America between these two teams was very competitive. So hopefully this match can also be exciting. But I will put Argentina ahead. I want to bet on Argentina in this match.
What is your prediction about these matches and which team is the favorite?
Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are not playing at home so it going to be difficult match for all side, Ecuador are a very strong side and their last 4 matches have ended in a draw, even the last time they hosted Argentina it also ended in a draw so predicting Argentina to win in this fixture is a hard one. If I am to gamble on this match it will be under2.5

In the Bolivia vs Brazil matches I expected brazil to win this match but since they won’t be playing at home and the weather conditions in Bolivia is always ash they maybe Brazil will struggle but I expect them to win.

Nigeria making it to the world cup won't be an easy task for the team because their is know zeal, hunger and perseverance to write their name in the up coming world cup tournament. The super eagles team lack the winning spirit despite the quality of players they have still their constant cause of inconsistencies is what  we don't know but all I see is a weak team except their will be change in tomorrow's game against South Africa.
Each time the super eagles play a lot of Nigerian have high hopes but they always end up disappointing especially in matches that is much needed. After winning last match against Rwanda there is now tension in the country about today's match, well if they don’t win today that will be almost the end in their chase for the coming World Cup.

If the super eagles are going to win today they need to bring absolutely everything to the game. They will need total awareness, they will need to mark and remark, they will need to able to create this chances that they create and above all they don’t need to concede first. It going to be hard match but let see if the super eagles can overcome this storm.

After Atalanta sold their best striker, Mateo Retegui, to a Saudi Arabian club, I began to doubt Atalanta performance this season. Furthermore, they are no longer coached by Gasperini, so I'm not surprised that Atalanta started the season poorly. They haven't fully formed with their current players, even though they have recruited a new striker, but he doesn't have the same abilities as Mateo Retegui.
I'm also not sure Atalanta will deliver better results than last season, as they are more concerned with profit than retaining players who have make a big contribution to their team.

Losing an important person on the team can indeed change the overall performance of the team, and we saw it in Atalanta. However they conduct their business, they must accept the impact. What is more challenging for them is not just the Serie A matches throughout the season, but they also have to compete in the Champions League, which would certainly be a disadvantage if their performance declines. Many teams are restructuring to face an increasingly tough season, but there will be teams that actually experience a decline in performance.
Selling their striker Mateo Retegui is not the problem but I think losing out on Gasperini might be the reason why they begin this Season with struggle. For sure last season Retegui was a very important player for Atalanta scoring  25 league goals in 36 appearance, he even secured the golden boot in the league season but i think Gasperini was the brain behind their last season performance.

Scamacca have been doing a pretty good job since joining Atalanta, last season with Retegui stealing the show still manage to score 12 league goals. I think he might be able to fill that spot for Atalanta this season, he has even scored already this season. I think lookman will be back in action after the international break so their performance might be better.

If they are getting money to gamble more than they are earning them maybe they didn’t tell you the exact amount they are earring or maybe the bet is paying them off and they are not telling you about it. In any case if they were to be my friend Would ask them to be sincere with me and tell me where the money they are using to game is coming from, and if it from them same gambling I would ask them for games too, who doesn’t want to make money? Nobody.

Another point is they might already be addicts and addicts will always look for means to gamble even if they would borrow they won’t mind, some might even end up selling their valuables just to gamble. I don’t have friends like that but I have see people like that and honestly it a very bad position to be in. If so then advise them which I know they won’t listen to because they are already addicts. But at the end you’ve played your part as a friend by advising them.

Big one coming tomorrow as Bafana bafana takes on the Super eagles of Nigeria, this is match that might define the fate of Group C. The super eagles though have a big blow as their star man victor Osimehn will be missing out in this fixture. Bafana Bafana playing at home is a big advantage for them and they won’t be playing with so much pressure because even if they lose tomorrow they won’t be losing their place as the leaders of the group. The super eagles on the other side will play with a lot of pressure and tension because if they lose tomorrow their hope in playing in the coming World Cup might be over.

It a big match, a fixture that bring in rivalry and a lot more. The atmosphere, tension and anxiety tomorrow will be top notch, really can’t wait to see the result of this big fixture.

I'm extremely not worried about Braga's performance. In the past seasons, Braga haven't been playing their best in the league.  it was recorded that the won only 19 matches out of 34 matches that was played last season, that made them settle in the fourth position in the league table.

Braga did qualify for the European competitions and this is an indication that they will perform at their best. Let's hope they can keep the momentum at the same pace! As for their local league, I'm certain they're not among the title contenders cause for the past few seasons, they have only achieved a top four position. Braga are always behind Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Porto in the league. it seems like they are comfortable in that spot.
For sure we won’t say Braga are among the title contenders in the Portuguese league, this is a team that just want to take part I European competition. Well as for last season they were good, being able to win 19 league match is a goo thing, above all last season you can count on Braga to beat mid and lower table teams in the league especially when they are playing at home.

I gamble on Braga last season a lot and they always tend to deliver most of the time, though sometimes I choose the corner options because Braga are this kind of team that prefer to attack from the wing. Hopefully this season I hope they can keep up that foam both in the league and European competition.

It always the coach, we know sometimes players have effect on these results but it left for the coach to put in the good players and make sure he get the result he want. I would still insist it the coach because when a coach is appointed he comes in with his crew, the fitness coach, tactical coach, physio and lot more so it now depends on this crew to try to put the player in good condition to play well. Again every coach have their philosophy, idea about football so when the team is doing poorly it because maybe the players are finding it very hard to adapt to the coach philosophy.

We have seen a team doing badly and when the coach is sacked and a new coach comes in we will see the team doing very well. So most at times it always the coach not the players. Football is a team games so when you feel a particular player is giving you issues you can just drop him but for coaches it not like that.

This coming week, there's a match that's sure to be a very intense one. It's Al Hilal vs Al Qasisiyah. With both teams performing equally well, I'm sure this match will be an epic spectacle. While this match is sure to be exciting, I personally find it very difficult to predict which team has the greatest potential. So, will you be placing a bet on this match? If so, which team will you bet on?

Besides Al Hilal vs Al Qasisiyah, I think another equally exciting match will be Al Ahli vs Al Ettifaq. I'm sure this match will be quite exciting, although Al Ahli is likely to be the favorite to win. Still, I don't think you should miss this match. For this match, I'll be betting on Al Ahli, so what do you think?
I’m also looking forward for this match, not because I’m a fan for either side but the result in this fixture will have an impact in the team I’m a fan of Al Nassr. Al Hilal are huge favorites in winning this year Saudi professional league so I would prefer they drop point in Bria match. During this summer transfer Al Quadisiya made some big transfers and we expect those players to have impact in matches like this.

Al Hilal are doing well under this new management, they also brought in some Quality players, I believe Player like Darwin Nunez will definitely want to get his first SPL goal in this fixture. It going to be an interesting match to watch. I really can’t wait for the international break to be over and get on with club side football.

Inter vs Juve will be the hottest game, and for me, hard to believe the match will end with draw. I think both clubs will play safely, and there will be narrow score to happen. So i pick under. I rarely saw both clubs scored a lot when they fought each other.  Cheesy

Honestly even over 2.5 goals doesn't look safe for Juventus vs Inter.  Tongue  Aside from the huge 4-4 score at Giuseppe Meazza earlier, most of the games are ending under 2.5 goals.

So that'd be a nice choice for you. Both are risky but at least under look more convincing when the game is in Turin.

I don't think Inter will be able to win this btw. After especially seeing how they lost to Udinese home.
As for me I always stay clear matches Like this, they are very unpredictable and they might end up scoring tons of goals. It a big match and every team will want to win it. I know it the early stages of the season, and that one reason why they won’t play it that much safe because losing point at this stage of the season won’t seems crucial yet. Well as for me even if at the end I decide to play the match on my booking I will choose the option of Draw or Over2.5. I like this option so much especially on big matches.

Well another thing about matches like this is that the home team always have this advantage, not from the referee though but form the thousands of fans behind them, chanting and pushing them to do better, so to play on a safe side too you can gamble on 1X too.

Champions League matches are always different different tempo, different desire. Napoli has an excellent team and relatively not-so-difficult opponents, but still, this is the UCL and every opponent knows how to play great football. If Lukaku recovers, that would contribute a lot to the team since they are currently without a classic striker. However, the midfield with KDB is more than excellent.
UEFA Champions League always have surprises with we never know which team is having good performance and which is going to let down punters which are backing them with their funds Napoli is having good squad which have good start of their title defend.

Antonio Conte is also well aware about challenges which are he going to face in coming matches I am expecting they will be in top ranks because they are having enough quality to stay in good against any opponent Manchester City is currently not good which will be beneficial for the at Etihad Stadium both can go with their best for having early advantage, but I am expecting Napoli can pass this challenge.
Yeah, champions league is a different kind of tournament entirely and it comes with different desire and tempo. I still don’t rate Napoli much in the champions league. We all know Antonio Conte as a man who know how to play is football in the league than in tournaments. Conte tactical approach works well well in the league that why every club he has coached he has won the league expect for Tottenham. In term of knock out tournament he doesn’t always do well, even in league cups.

I like Conte so much, he always knows how to bring out the best in players in a very short period of time, we can see he also did that with Napoli last season. In this season champions league I don’t think they will go pass the quarter finals. Yeah, Napoli have good player and have made some good signing too but can this players bring them the champions league glory? I don’t think so.

Liverpool are leading the race for the title already a team with the players they have can not face challenges when they play against a small team like Burnley they are performing well more than expected they are showing early signs that they are ready to win the league this season. Against Burnley is going to end in favour of Liverpool of course they won't find it difficult to defeat them like United did and as for the contenders it's either Liverpool or Arsenal for the title.
Liverpool are on top of the league table no doubt, we also know that they might win  there scheduled match against Burnley because the signs are very clear, so far so good Liverpool has not lost any match in the English premier league thisnl season and that has practically proven that they came prepared dont think anyone is skeptical about all this but what we can't conclude is if they will win the league title this season again, saying the contenders are only the two teams you mentioned mean that you already know the most likely winner of the league that's funny, did I hear you mention arsenal or are you indirectly giving their fans high hopes.
For sure Liverpool are a serious contender for this season premier league but saying they are going to win it after just 3 matches is unbelievable. The only real test they have face this season is Against Arsenal and I would say it again, that match could have go both ways. We all know sometimes you just get the 3 points it doesn’t matter how. And that was the case against arsenal.

After the international break  they on burnley and we all expect them to win with their current foam, so it will be 12 points from 4 league matches, that an incredible start to the new season. Now they have brought in Isak which is a very good addition to the squad. I still expect total competition for winning the league this season.

Personally my dark horse in the Italian league this season will be Cremonese, my God have you watch this team play and how they move the ball from the defense to attack so quickly. This is a team who are very good in Ariel duel and play good long balls too. I know they will cause big problems in the league this season. Beating Milan away from home is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed especially for a newly promoted side.

They have now pick all 6 point in 2 opening match in the league, this will build a big momentum in the team and will want to continue in that fashion after the international break when they travel to Verona.

They have added a veteran to their squad, Jamie Verdy. He his a very explosive striker who can score goals from all angles in the field. A very good Addition for Cremonese, getting him on a free transfer is a very good deal. Let see what happens after the international break.

This is a good move for Man United, as he can't be expected to replace De Gea. It's only right that Man United let him go if they want to make a change for the better, as Man United problem lies in their weak defense. Furthermore, even if he stays at Man United, the club won't necessarily use him, as Man United have already signed a new goalkeeper this summer, so competition for places is quite fierce.
Why sound like Onana was the only issue at Manchester United, that's not true because the cause it's a team problem involving both the management. It's normal for any player who leaves Manchester United to do better elsewhere, Onana leaving Manchester United is a redemption to himself and to his career. Manchester United has spoken less of Onana like he is the only issue, now he is out let's see how quickly they will evaluate the whole issue and sort out their crisis.
For sure we all know how bad Onana have been since joining Manchester United, he has made some terrible decisions in goal post that have cost Manchester United crucial points. But it just like you said onana is not the only problem in Manchester United but At least him gone is like picking out one bad egg out of many, it a way forward for Ruben Amorim and Manchester united.

I still have a big question about the Manchester United defense, in as much has onana is a bad goalie for them that defense don’t help matters too, most times they leave him exposed. Amorim needs to bring in more capable defenders if not this new goal Keeper might face the same fate.

I think Onana needs this move too, he was a good goal keeper at inter Miami, but life have been different for him since joining Manchester United maybe he might rediscover him foam when he leaves old trafford.

Re: Do odds really reflect reality?
by
Abbatty
on 07/09/2025, 13:59:36 UTC
I’ve been thinking about this for a while whenever I check the lines in different sportsbooks. We all see odds move up and down before a game, but the real question is, are those numbers actually showing the true probability of the outcome, or are they just being adjusted so the bookmaker balances the action on both sides?

For example, if a team is priced at 1.90, does that really mean they have a 52.6% chance of winning? Or is it more about the book trying to spread money evenly so they lock in a profit no matter the result?

for odds converter, I'm using this i found in the internet https://www.aceodds.com/bet-calculator/odds-converter.html
For sure odds show possibility about how a game might end though the result might sometimes not end in Favour of the odd. When a team is give a lesser odd it shows it have more advantage or player quality to win the match than the other team but at the end it football and it very unpredictable.

We have seen a team with over 20 off beaten a team with 1.15 odd, the odds are set according to the quality each team possess, or their Head to head result over the years or even key players being injured, then above all home advantage. All these are things they look into before setting the odd. I also have sit and thought about this but at the end it how it should be.

So the answer is the odds reflect on the reality of the game but Does not always dictate the result the results at the end because it football and you can never predict the outcome.

Personally, I still believe that City will remain one of the title favorites, even though their form isn't as smooth as before and the competition is getting fiercer. It's too early to tell, because their winning mentality is still strong. Indeed, the coach always has his own way of dealing with this, even though he often experimented at the start of the season, but he's always adept at finding solutions at crucial moments.

The coach has likely identified and understood their weaknesses, and I suspect he will also emphasize his team's sharpness in front of goal, as even the slightest mismanagement can be fatal. This means tactical awareness, composure, and a lack of obsession are crucial to prevent the team from losing its rhythm. Another point of attention is the coach will also need to rotate players more wisely.
You still think he his title favorite and he has lost 2 of his 3 premier league matches and it just the beginning of the season. Wake up mate, we don’t know if they will improve this season but Pep has lost it and we all saw here struggled to even make Top 4 last season. I don’t see him as a turtle contender this season, you can’t lost to spurs at home and to Brighton away and be favorite in winning the league.

This season eventu point is very crucial and we have see how Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are all battling for every point like it the end of the season. Manchester city will still lose a lot of matches, both to big side and to mid table team. Pep knows he his struggling and finding a solution might be something he won’t get soon.

Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)
by
Abbatty
on 06/09/2025, 20:51:19 UTC
You’re spot on! It is obvious PSG’s dominance in the French league is because of how rich the club is, they have the finances and influence to build their team to a certain level unlike other average teams in the league that are unable to make significant and noticeable signings to build their squad to match PSG’s squad and gives them tough competition.

That is just the fact. PSG are the only strongest and more favorable to dominating the French league, mostly in every season, which we all know. They are the richest in the league, and it will not be easy for any of the other teams in the league to even be a threat to them. That is why most of the time, the Ligue 1 games are always boring, because there is not that much competition in the league, and this makes the game look so predictive and boring.
I don't think that PSG dominance in the French ligue 1 is only due to the fact that PSG is rich I will not agree with you on that because in today football there is financial fair play rule that applies,so a team can't go and bring money from another source of income to sponsor a team the truth is that other teams in this league are not just serious about competing and this is not only limited to the French ligue they don't even do well in European competitions.

Until the rest of the clubs start to think about winning a trophy and challenging PSG they will continue to be under the shadow of PSG because looking at the just concluded transfer market how many teams in the French ligue 1 actually bought top quality players.
Well comparing how Paris have spent so far with other European top teams, I would say they have not spend much but if you compare them to fellow french teams then they have spend so much. This summer PSG spent over €100M in getting a couple of players. The thing is when you are top team you have have to keep spending every transfer window to try and improve your squad if not you will end up falling back especially when their is so much expectation from you.

After winning it all last season, PSG have a lot to do this season because much is expected from them, we can see how they struggled before they could get their win in the first 2 matches in the league, every team is not tactically prepared for them. Dembele is currently injured and it a big blow for them, I just hope it nothing serious.

It was not the best game to watch, it was scrappy, but at least we got the three points. On to the next one, which is a crucial game against South Africa on Tuesday, our manager Eric Chelle has to do something differently in that game if we are to stand a chance of beating South Africa in their home. Remember that South Africa played a home game yesterday, so no travelling for them, and they have a day more to rest, while we have to recover, then travel to South Africa for the game, all in the space of two days.

Victor Osimhen also went out injured, so i am not sure if he would be fit for Tuesday's game, i hope he is. If we beat South Africa, then our hope will be up in the roof. Congratulations to the Super Eagles on this victory.
Hmm, I just hope we don’t get heartbroken at the end because since the beginning of this World Cup qualifiers the super eagles have never played convincingly. Yeah we got the win today but those the performance shows anything aside the 3 points, I don’t think so. Now we have victor osimehn Injured that a very big blow for the supers eagles.

Well beating South Africa on Tuesday will be all we need but it going to be hard, I watch the South African played yesterday and I begin to think can we contain this people, they have all the advantage at their disposal, they are playing at home, they have a large number of fans behind them chanting their names and above all they only need at least a point to save, while the super eagles needs all 3 point, so from the very beginning they will be Vulnerable, then the biggest blow is being without victor Osimehn. Let this is football and it magical so let hope some magic happens for the super eagles on Tuesday.
