Re: The War has started. Crypto vs Giants
by

Facebook has only banned the paid advertising of cryptocurrency. Which is fine as I get sick of seeing them when I do occasionally jump on Facebook. You or anyone else can post or share crypto stuff on your timeline so bounties etc will not be effected.
So as long as you don't make a paid ad for cryptocurrency nothing changes.

True. It gets suffocating many times. You browse the news feed and you will keep on seeing advertisements with full of dirt.  Grin
Once you followed or liked one of them, they are going to swarm you with a lot more and there is no stopping it (or I just dont know how). But the thing is, that should not be like that. They looked like a blog with full of paid advertisement everywhere and you cannot read the contents of the page anymore.

Re: Google and Alibaba join the blockchain party

"Google is planning to create its own blockchain and offer cloud and transactional services through it."

Source - https://www.ccn.com/google-will-create-its-own-blockchain-in-the-future/

Regardless if you like google or not, I think this is amazing news. Blockchain is truly the future and I can't wait to see its future adaptations and uses.

But I think this will certainly kill a lot of platforms and coins. Thoughts?

Other resources? It says in the future and we don't really know when it is?

This guys are really confusing or this could be their strategy. They first block every advertisement that is connected with crypto currencies which is inside the blockchain and now they want in.
Something smells fishy around this companies, e.g. Facebook, Twitter and Google. Something big will happen and I hope it doesnt scare the investors that are already rooted in bitcoin and Ethereum.

Re: How bad are ICOs this year?
by

on 25/03/2018, 03:05:46 UTC
I would agree with that.
Although they are not branded as scams there have been a lot of ICO starting companies that aint worth the service they offer.
Maybe that is why they are low on investors. They might be reaching their soft caps but if you look at it after their ICO, they have been missing in actions and that is not a good thing.
There should always be updates into what is happening on the inside. Investors will be in panic if they wont see any guarantee.

It is actually cheaper now. It may be the best time to buy it.
One proposal for you. Don't just do it because you feel like it should be done. Make some research and try to think if one project is worth the buy. It should always be a long term. Buy it then store it. Do not look at the price, you will just be wasting a lot of time when you keep looking at it every hour.

Buy those who are always active with updates. Legitimate ones will find some ways to update their investors even with the smallest details.

Do we really have to tell that to you?

Anything that will be said here will just be speculations. It is you who will decide in the end.
Make your own decision to avoid blaming anyone when something goes wrong.
If you cannot make a conclusion then just hold it. It will be better that way cause there is always a chance that will bitcoin will go up in value so much until it is being used more frequently.

Re: Ban on Facebook and Google ad.
by
Arngrim
on 23/03/2018, 19:29:26 UTC
Looking at the news that has been going round for quite sometime now on the ban of ICO ads. on Facebook and Google. Most especially on Facebook, which seems not to have been fully implemented, because ads. are still ongoing. To this effect, do you think this will still be implemented or it is just a way of scaring investors away from ICOs. If it eventually comes to reality, what are other option you think might be left for ads, most especially after Facebook and Google succeed in the ban?

I thought it will depend as long as the ICO uses KYC.
But it is not really about scaring the investors. It is about legitimacy that they want. Too many fake ICO starting companies have been lurking around in social media and they use this as a means to scam people.
Some of them are successful in robbing investors but I believe it will still depend on them. Making a lot of research to keep your money safe or you could talk to people who are specialist when it comes to investing.

Re: G20 financial heads to urge crypto-asset monitoring to safeguard financial stabi
by

They are really going to make that money laundering thing as the reason above all even if the means for it are really different.
It is to monitor us, everyone who are crypto related. They are just using that reason. It is obvious.

This could be the end of being decentralized. Once money is related they dont want anyone getting hands on it.
The balance will be doomed. Imagine having a lot of rich people afterwards. Then those who are in control of the money will be having a lot of problems.
It is an unfair world, better live with that until you die. Swallow it earlier and you will get used to it.
They want the poor to stay poor and the fools to stay stupid.

I never thought it would blast to copy something just like Ethereum. I thought the crypto world is done with the copycats just like BCH.

Waves is there. Why not use it? It is also as the same as Ethereum with ERC20. It just needs a little push and support and maybe ICO's who should also use it. Their exchange is also way better since it is a wallet and an exchange inside. The tx fee in trading is also low. You can change your coins back and forth anytime you want.

Too far to speculate. Anything that is near?  Grin
It would be more lovely to see it more early than that date which we dont know if we are dead or still living.
But if it does happen, then I will leave it to my kids.
Maybe tell them at the right age and wait for the crypto technology to boom more in the coming years.

Re: What happen with ETH Price ?
by

Ethereum got its own market. Evem when Bitcoin goes to the moon it can stay right there.
There may be withdrawal that happened since the ban of ICo's in both facebook and Twitter and it made a lot of impact.
If the investors will not get in again then that price of ETH might stay that way.

The regulation will be the one changing its wave once this ICO's proceed to what the government's wants them to do.

Re: Will every crypto coin survive?
by

No, not all of them. There are useless ones and they should be taken out to clean up the crypto technology.
Try to visit Yobit and you will see a lot of coins which have 0 value but some people can resurrect them and will victim a newbie if ever he will invest in it.
They will just use the chatbox and it will look like different people are investing but the truth is they are just one group who is scamming another.

They should be cleaned to avoid new investors to be another victim.

Charity?
Why give them the hard time to know whether they should sell it now or later for them to fund that charity more?

Cash out that bitcoin and give them the dollar. That is what they always prefer. It will be easier that way. Giving them some task to withdraw it will not be called charity anymore.
I dont think you will have to ask this questions if you are really a charitable person.  Grin

Re: Do NOT fall for FUD

It aint new here I think. I have read a lot of FUD's which is just for the purpose of shaking those weak hands.

It is a good strategy though. Taking those newbies out just so the price could get a little lower and then whales could buy back.
Someone could have been backing up this FUD spreaders or they might be paid just to make a fake news.

Re: What I Should Know Before i Start Trading Cryptocurrency
by

on 21/03/2018, 13:43:20 UTC
You want tips with trading, then why ask about to hold or sell.
Trading is about buy and sell, you just hold there if ever there is not much movement.
But will you pick one without fluctuation? Of course not.

There is no profit with that. Holding is just for those you invested with and you believed in it. Sometimes it takes a year or more.

I'd rather go Poloniex than SHitBtc.  Grin

With polo it is the customer service which is more of their problem and I got to experience that too. It took long before the problem was resolved. Something like a week before everything is cleaned up.

With SHitBtc the deposit fee is what sucks the most. I havent even done anything and yet you want something already from me. I say that is BS. They should die in their sleep.

I have the same question and it looks like the impact from Facebook and Twitter banning ICO's might be working now.

Looks like the social media made a great deal for advertising this ICO's and now they are in the hard times to spread the news.
We know this ICO's have been the one pumping the Ethereum value since almost all of it are ERC-20.

Re: Fall of XRP ( Ripple)
by

You might want to take a closer look at all the crypto currencies that is listed on any exchange.
It is like everything is in RED color now and a high percentage of bag holders have been in panic which makes it drop more in price.

It is your decision if you want to buy more, but in my opinion that is the better idea than selling your Ripple now which will just make it worse. No one can predict what will happen so decide at your own risk. I am just hoping this is the last wave of the downfall because I have bought some other coins.

The number 1 lesson is the best of all and will teach you everything. Do not believe any groups that are telling you this will happen or that will happen. It will always be just speculation.
No one can predict to what will happen. The price could double anytime or could fall until you cannot take it anymore.
Then all of it will follow, including what you should do to at least have an idea to where the price will go.

Re: BITCOIN is for long term investment
by
Arngrim
on 18/03/2018, 03:19:31 UTC
Yes, if they want faster profit then go to ICO's and not bitcoin.
They offer a big percentage for the early birds like 50 percent more for the first week of buying their coins.
Once they hit the target price when it is listed with exchanges then you already have a larger profit than any investor even those in bitcoin.
I bet there is a lot who have been doing this. Just be careful not to pick the token which is a scam. There is also a lot of them that is why they keep on banning ICO's

Re: Let's Keep It Crypto

I hope so too.
It's hard to think that the crypto world is being populated and yet it is being brought down. It can be seen in plain view. They want a piece of it.  Grin
If that is the case then it would be better to stay at a minimal number rather than getting more investors coming in. But I guess it wont happen, looks like the crypto world is the apple of the eye of the governments now. Why not? There is shitload of money inside it and where there is money, there is also the greedy government following it saying: "You cannot be free!"
