As much as I understand and see the need for regulation in crypto etc, I find myself asking 'was that Satoshi's vision'? Or did he (she? they?) intend to make the ground shake within the global financial system? Was the intention to move the power back to the people? I'd like to think so but maybe it's just because that story sounds better than any alternative hahaa

Agreed, regulation is probably invevitable, wonder if it will be global or differ between nations.

What is happening with Plutus btw? Is the card released yet?

I'm following Plutus who would enable you to spend your crypto on any real estate you wanted. Its a crypto payment platform so it just seamlessly converts whatever crypto you want into usable fiat before the property owner receives it. And they're massive on security as they've done it all on a decentralized model so no worries there. Their crypto debit card and app is coming out in a couple months.

Re: What will happen to Ether?
by

on 12/12/2018, 15:27:53 UTC
That's the market and it happens, even not only ethereum, the whole market is down, so nothing to worry. Many people are barking against Ethereum, but they don't know ethereum is a game changer. These people will not even know when the whole Ethereum game will turn out. So i think, this is the best to buy ethereum as much as possible.

I agree, people really don't understand what Ethereum do, it is far from just a cryptocurrency. And there are so many projects built on top of it, if any of those do well which i'm sure they will, than Ether price is sure to rise.

Plutus project is built on Ethereum and they're launching in Q1. They allow users to pay in crypto at over 40 million stores worldwide by seamlessly converting it into regular fiat currency before the merchant receives it. Uses the existing visa infrastructure and they've already got a working beat product out. I have faith that they could be big in a couple of months.

I ditched the projects that I was unsure about and now hodling the projects I have faith in forever! Got big bags on Plutus who are coming out Q1 so hoping that they deliver. They've basically designed a crypto debit card and app that lets you spend your crypto anywhere that accepts visa card but they've done it with security as their top priority and they've always been super regulatory compliant. I have faith that they'll do well even with the market crash  Grin their website here: https://plutus.it/

Re: What needs to happen in 2019?

I read a tweet this morning saying: "In 2018 everyone wanted to be in crypto. In 2019, we will find out who really wants to be in crypto."

Who's ready to invest in 2019?

2019 - a year for more applications? More useful use cases? Proper token economics?

I know the Elrond Network team will be here in 2019 - buidling as always Smiley

We needs more support from the institutional investors, your ico will change nothing in the next year.
If there will be a lot of utility token in the future and that should be considered as a good thing dude. We need a utility token to prove the regulators about the usefulness of crypto.

Fully agree, a company that owns cryptocurrencies for the sake of having cryptocurrencies is ridiculous and they almost always fail. Utility tokens with real value use cases are what we need and the projects applying that logic will do well. Been following Plutus for quite some time and they made sure they were legally classified as a utility token since the beginning for that exact reason, the company is super regulatory compliant.

They're coming out in Q1 2019 and let people convert and spend their cryptocurrencies anywhere that is accepted by visa, trying to make cryptocurrencies usable as an exchange of value through a debit card or tap&pay app. Looking forward to seeing if they succeed.  Smiley

There has never been a time that Bitcoin has not recovered, i'm hoping that with all the cool projects making Bitcoin usable as an actual currency the price will recover. Pinning my hopes on Plutus project, card launches in Q1 2019 that lets you spend in crypto anywhere that Visa/Mastercard is accepted. Bring on mass adoption.

Re: when cryptocurrencies can be used to buy basic needs?
by
BettyPicks
on 15/11/2018, 10:06:11 UTC
Even as I believe this will happen in some.time in the future, I think it is still a question of how much the community as in the general public in the different parts of the globe have come to believe in and understand the blockchain and the overall cryptocurrencies itself. Until the common retail store owner understands this and accept the concept behind cryptos, it will be difficult for a cryptos to be used or accepted as a payment for our basic needs but this is visible sometimes in the future I believe.

There are projects out there that automatically convert the cryptocurrencies into fiat before the merchant receives it so you wouldn't have to wait for every retailer to implement a crypto-enabled payment terminal. Plutus project is creating a card to do that right now which will be available in a few months. Can essentially pay with crypto anywhere that visa is accepted with it

Re: You think the Crypto market will keep growing?
by
BettyPicks
on 15/11/2018, 09:47:56 UTC

I think it will continue to grow as usability and ease of use become more standard in the sector. e.g. Projects like Plutus are creating a card that lets you spend in crypto at over 40million stores by utilizing the existing Visa/Mastercard infrastructure, it works by seamlessly converting the amount of Bitcoin necessary to make a purchase into spendable fiat which then goes to the merchant. Projects like this will transform cryptocurrencies from an asset into an actual currency as intended and assist in mass adoption in my opinion. Just gotta sit tight until such projects are fully functioning, can see beta version here https://plutus.it/

Re: 2020 is best year for cryptoholders
by
BettyPicks
on 01/11/2018, 11:29:33 UTC
I have good feelings about Q1 2019, quite a few cool projects will be releasing new features at that time. I'm counting on Plutus to pull through, they've got a live beta app currently that lets you buy and sell crypto at zero fees but they're also adding a tap & pay functionality next month so you can spend bitcoin at any store in the world that accepts VISA. Q1 there's plans for a crypto debit card Grin More on their Plutus Telegram

I also think the bull run is just too late to hit this year, only got a month left and the markets looking pretty stagnant. 2020 is a safe long-term bet.

Re: Bitcoin is useless so why high price?
by
BettyPicks
on 01/11/2018, 11:19:17 UTC
1) They have dealt with high transaction fees now

2) Crypto will gain use cases as the scene develops, e.g. The Plutus project is developing a crypto payments platform that will let you spend in bitcoin at over 40 million stores worldwide by utilizing the existing VISA infrastructure. Developments such as this, a crypto debit card, would make crypto useable like any other fiat currency but with the added benefits crypto has to offer. Plutus have a live beta app out now that lets you buy and sell crypto at zero fees and are implementing the payment functionality next month. I think this will be a big step for crypto, they've got a bit more info on their Plutus Telegram

3) High price is related to its scarcity

Re: When will end the hype of ICO ?
by
BettyPicks
on 01/11/2018, 11:01:26 UTC
ICO hype will end when regulation comes in, Switzerland achieved it. Unfortunately, things like Brexit and Europe's issues with Italy mean regulatory bodies have more important issues to deal with at the moment. Very few ICO's have actually gone from whitepaper to a working product. Happy with my investment with Plutus, they've got a live beta app at the moment that lets you buy and sell crypto at zero fees, and they're going to add a payment functionality next month that lets you pay with Bitcoin at over 40million stores worldwide Smiley Plutus Telegram

I feel like the bull run ain't gonna happen until Q1 2019, loads of cool projects coming out then that could rejuvenate a bit of faith. Plutus is launching their crypto debit card that lets you pay at any NFC enabled store globally with Bitcoin, uses the existing VISA infrastructures so you don't have to wait for merchant adoption. Feel like those sort of projects that can be used by the masses will bring in a whole new wave of crypto adopters.

Re: Future of crypto is good or bad?
by
BettyPicks
on 01/11/2018, 10:47:42 UTC
I have faith that the future of the cryptocurrency market will be good, there are so many newly emerging projects that could take cryptocurrencies into the mainstream. e.g. Plutus are creating a cryptocurrency payments platform that uses the existing VISA infrastructure so you can pay in Bitcoin at over 40 million stores worldwide. Things like this, a crypto debit card, would revolutionize the sector and bring a whole new wave of adopters who are currently uninterested.

Having said this, investing all of your savings is a silly decision and you most definitely should not do it. As a newbie to the crypto scene it is easy to make mistakes and jeopardising your family for the sake of greed is not advised.

Re: Rewards For Testing New Crypto App
by
BettyPicks
on 25/10/2018, 16:14:42 UTC
I joined the beta version https://dexbeta.plutus.it/
Not clear if i have to make a deposit only available via bank transfer) in order to test the platform or i can just make a simple review.
Pinned txt in the telegram channel show nothing about the "Rewards For Testing" .
Would ask you to provide further details about your test-bounty program and about the App as well.

I think they are just looking for any feedback that will help with improvements to the next version of the app so making a deposit would probably help them with that but if you’ve already got advice then throw it their way (what you like and what you don't like). It’s a giveaway, not a test-bounty program but there’s a fairly high chance of winning. They recently shared it on their Telegram.

At the moment the app is just a decentralized exchange that facilitates crypto-fiat gateway between BTC, ETH, PLU and EUR. I don't think it can handle any other currencies just yet. They say they are adding the payment functionality next month so you can pay with the above cryptos at 40million stores worldwide which is pretty cool. When you want to pay it is converted into spendable fiat before going to the merchant.

Let me know if you've got some other questions?

Rewards For Testing New Crypto App
by
BettyPicks
on 25/10/2018, 09:41:10 UTC
Plutus is developing a decentralized and safer version of TenX, a fully functioning version of their crypTo tap and pay app launches next month (November) but they have a BETA version out now that lets you trade BTC, ETH & PLU at zero fees. They're looking for reviews to know what to improve on.

If you join their Telegram and drop a review on there then you could win €200 worth of PLU (Their native token). Is a cool project and I think they have the potential to do well, their crypto debit cards are out in January.

I have my top 3 favorite coins: XRP, EOS, Litecoin. You can rely on profit, but the price goes up and down. Weekly and monthly charts signal an optimistic price dynamics.

Gotta love Litecoin and EOS, would change XRP for PLU or XLM
