Ok, did a reread of the OP.

I still have the same questions..

What makes this coin unique other then snarky members?

I'm glad you appreciated and understood a little humor there.  Cheesy
However, I would like to leave the question to those who have more gusto & technical expertise to answer your question to give the answer some better substance that what I can deliver at this point (my personal inabilities) to give you a better view. I don't feel like sharing some information that is not official / is conceptual that I know, as I do not wish to say something that wasn't on the official plan of development, if you know what I'm saying.

I think you have a legitimate question and let's hope it'll be answered by some core devs when they get their break off development.

what does this coin do besides a community that come up with memes and funny posters? Grin

You clearly don't know much about this development team  Wink

For a start, the lead developer destroyed $100,000 worth of coins because it was what the community of investors asked for..

Secondly, the lead dev Seriouscoins - has worked countless days with just a couple of hours sleep, never have I met someone as hard working and dedicated as him.

The community is absolutely brilliant and near Magical !

It's definitely not about spreading memes.
There are many BIG, BIG!!! plans which most are still widely undisclosed and being talked about between developers.

First things first - establishing security and foundation. With the coin of such limited supply, with the current PoS model and the devs, the price will go up to astronomical levels with rather fast cyclic intervals. It means that there MUST be proper and professional development that really hones the foundation damn well.

The time that has taken into this purpose has pissed some impatient people off...
It is unfortunate of course, but the PoS model guarantees that the devs are in for the longest run. It would be extremely foolish to be haphazard about it and just please the fast & the furious at this point.

XBC is one of the brightest little stars there currently is because of precisely mature minded and long term oriented devs who are truly making Bitcoin Plus as one of the best cryptos yet to exist, perhaps even the best when all extra features start to take form. I believe it will end up being very versatile and that it will conquer many markets.

XBC is currently already getting ready to organize community to provide translations to all major languages for just one example.

Buy and hold - you won't regret it.

And hey, if you love the coin as much as pretty much everyone who has been properly introduced to it, you will have a great time participating in the community.

This is not just another coin.
Community is strong behind this one for a myriad of reasons.

Long term development with absolutely enthusiastic and professional & mature crowd.
Most devs are in their 30's-50's. So it's not a bunch of kids fooling around  Smiley

People are serious on this one.

OT: The alien threat is a bad example. We would be 100% at the mercy of any intelligence that makes it's way to us. They could destroy us with the blink of an eye before we even realized because their technology would be so far superior. Think of a modern army against Roman empire. The only thing we could hope for was that they/it would also have high moral standards. Maybe it's not so smart to send radio waves into all directions...

Haha, it's perhaps entertaining to link thoughts of war against the aliens to aliens, but as you stated there between the lines, there's likelihood/hope they would actually be smarter than just a warmongering space barbarian... Which the common image actually seems to be most of the time at this moment.

The alien is a psychological archetypal character that can be used as an object to narrate beliefs of the emperor to the common folk trough means of mass production and it's greatest field of societal programming apart from the education field; the entertainment industry. A giant engine of PR aka. propaganda for the almost monarchistic state. Power, again... yet again... grown behind closed doors, away from the public, off from the streets.

Being afraid of the alien and projecting it as a military threat is a powerful way to link the thought that the unknown solutions, technologies, thoughts, creativity... is only in the realm of the war machine. Be afraid, be very afraid.

But if the concept of aliens is taken seriously and not used as a ridiculous puppet, as a genuine reflective tool to think about human possibilities...
Don't you think that ANY highly sophisticated society of alien intelligence would actually be very peaceful and wise instead of fearful and tribal.

If you take a neurologic viewpoint, this would be a wrong evolutive direction to follow the observations...
Intelligence is about understanding. Real intelligence is not harmful. Real science is always about good ethics.

It comes from rational approach to apply rationally confirmed knowledge into a process of understanding.
It would be safe to assume that any self-aware planetary race would have to solve the questions and challenges of the questions about spreading wealth and population management as a whole. It is the biggest challenge of humanity right now and basically everything that we ever discuss in the fields of the sciences, politics, social studies and economics. That's what all the fuss is about, that's why there is something we call "News". We look at the developments of this lunatic social experiment because we are just too damn lazy to catch and cultivate our own food.

Well, that's the first intelligent being process all about... Reaching adulthood, balance of body and mind and self sustenance without tantrums and violence.
That's what the aliens needed to figure out FIRST, before they could develop tech further, otherwise been lost into space due some stupid disputes. That's precisely why the big nations do space programs together.... The scientists are trying to keep up having world peace challenging the best of these nations work together on a bigger quest. To keep the frustrated men off each others throats as this political madhouse tries to settle itself.

Aliens, obviously would have had to been gone through all of that and way beyond.
And using alien to connect unknown elements into ridicule or fearful scenarios is mental image manipulation to hold psychological leverage against progressive thought.

So no, I don't think sending radio waves to space is all that dangerous  Cheesy
The dangers only exist likely on the silver screen. Real aliens would be magnificent beings in greater likelihood if you take a broad look on nature and the universe.

Yes I imagine in that world the vast majority of kids will stop playing, art will have no utility, entertainment, fantasy and going out into the wilderness will be capital crimes. I imagine the functional members of your imagination would live forever as they could harvest organs from the non functional in exchange for exploring knowledge or even food. Yes and as technology improved even there children will become redundant and used for organ generation.

Damn, I would like to see that vivid imagination of yours used into envisioning smarter societal solutions that positive and rather utopistic ones.
People who don't have envisioning skills follow the generally accepted vision. And it is envisioning ability that we are ripped out from in our schools.

We are taught to linear, systemic, mechanistic thinking. A slave mind is taught directly, effectively without visible violence.

That is TODAY.

We already live in a dystopia horrifyingly near to those things you wrote about...
It's time to turn the mental gaze fully into the new possibilities, in the pro-life department before these things get too non-human.
Organic things are to be harmonized with and learned from. It's smarter than dissecting and dissemination.

With more freedom from the oppressive lingual lexical systemic fuckup of a technical language run amok unchecked, unmonitored, misunderstood, faulty... With more freedom from it... We release our research potential and communications from oppressive systemic taxing and monetary distortion to the scientific fields via predatory social entity corporatization... As the wealth is pumped from the crowds, everything becomes a corporation. Public wealth gets sucked out in the vortex and we are left with unfair state contracting and corrupt favoring those business owners who agree to their political schemes openly.

So, fellows of coins, the re-inventors of the old healthy trade cultures that produced great common wealth zones where money circulated between people...
Let's see together what we can do with this re-lit torch of newly found spirit for fair trade and restoration to the great progress humanity made before "The Empire Stroke Back" and we found ourselves with these tokenic coinages made out of sheer ether! Dios Mio! Herregutt! Oh so many possibilities! Such Vision.

humans will have no application even in socialism and start degrading when bots do 100% of work.

Well, ain't this a Industrial Age view of humans as machines or cogs in the wheel that rust out when they are not within the machine well oiled in the labor of mass production...

Since when people degrade when they are doing the things they actually love to do instead of running as machine parts?

That's when humans flourish.

And besides, people will always figure out something new to do.
We are creative beings that have imaginations and we work better when we do things out of free and passion will instead of slavery.

Thinking also that if humans have no occupations they will not amount to anything... Wrong.
That's the old school monopolist propaganda to keep people in the factory.

People who have no jobs these days are unproductive because of poverty that goes with it.

The fact is that when we go far enough into full automation, we just HAVE TO re-value our lives based on actual social value, how good we are to each other rather than who is the best one to obey. In a sense, we have needed slavery to develop this far technologically. And it has always gone to the direction where we can make our innovations our slaves.

Using human lives for slavery is inefficient these days and soon only ignorance and bad politics are in the way of global abundance.

That's why I made a point earlier that all of these things will eventually lead to human worth and value re-assessment where classicism can no longer be held as the basic human worth estimation measure. As stated, that is no longer true in the Digital Age and beyond.

Now, it lets to be seen what sort of A.I. there will be.
Will it be capable of thought superior to human beings or will it be just super intelligent in it's calculations and estimations.
The difference really becomes, whether it will actually gain it's own "life" aka. consciousness, self-awareness beyond just human friendly operation system mimicry for human mind, or a real individual thinker.

If it remains machine-like where humans have to program it to be mind-like, it will not be able to take all functions of human spirit, creativity, envisioning beyond numbers, thinking completely out of the box, creating any truly genuine design, etc.

In that case, humans will not be useless and the coexistence will be just like anything we have already seen, but just linearly taken further;
Meaning that when there is no mundane work to be done by human beings, we are free to focus on enjoying our lives rather than running the rat-wheel ourselves. I'm sure most of you do have hopes and visions what you would do if you became free via cryptos.

There isn't uselessness and malfunction in that picture isn't there?
You would continue working on whatever you felt passionate about!

Now if the machines actually became sort of a next step in evolution creating a kind of super beings, well, we would be on their mercy anyways and these kinds of discussions would be rather pointless.

On the other hand...
Isn't the large number compared to fiat precisely that incentives many people to hear more about Bitcoin?

If you don't understand that you don't have to buy a whole coin after just initial research, you are going to be a late adopter anyway.

Why to focus on late adopters?
They will resist anything new and act stupid regardless.
I don't think the numeric value is the most challenging thing to comprehend with the complex learning curve of cryptos...

And if someone doesn't "afford" Bitcoin... Let them buy altcoins so they can get "more" for the dollar..  Cheesy

Not sure if this would help with Chrome, but this is what I had with Firefox:

It gave me the un-escapable certificate query, I got past it the first time, but second time I updated the site the query re-appeared.
The button that allows you to make exception and proceed was disabled while it stated the certificate was already passed.

Simply refreshing the browser was enough to proceed to the site. Just a thing to try on Chrome...
After a few times of these queries they stopped coming even they appeared on the tabs I already had done refreshing...
Perhaps the reappearing of the query had something to do with cache.

Hi there,

thanks for this great tool!!  Cheesy

Do you have any plans to implement Auroracoin on cryptsy soon?

best regards
tom

Love your charting service!

Any chance of adding Auroracoin soon? Airdrop to 320,000 people in Iceland is scheduled for March 25th. Exciting times.

+1 AUR to Cryptsy!

The top 3 volumes on Cryptsy clearly above the rest:

DOGE/BTC    440 BTC
LTC/BTC    296 BTC
AUR/BTC    254 BTC

According to Coinmarketcap, Auroracoin is 3rd largest crypto, and 2nd largest altcoin based on market cap ignoring Ripple.
At the moment it is twice as large as DOGE!

Also Crypsy has 86.04% of the AUR trade at the moment of writing, so adding it as a third pair to Cryptsy would be quite well justified considering the Air Drop is only 8 days away.

PS. Thank you so much for allowing graphs to go 1px!!!
I love using your service, been staring into the blackness for so many hours  Cheesy
