The problem is also one of liquidity, more than simple volatility.
Even the USD fluctuates and loses value over time due to inflation - it's just that it's liquidity is about 10-20 trillion times better than BC's - so the volatility is measured in thousandths of a percent per day instead of +/- 20% like most cryptos. If you look at the total trade volume on all exchanges, divide that in half (assuming the price stays relatively stable)... and that's as much business as you can reasonably transact per day without affecting the price itself. That's not a BC problem, of course, it applies to everything - but that's probably one of the biggest reasons that BTC is at least more stable in price most of the time. Also why coins with almost no volume at all have even crazier volatility.
Liquidity is the key issue for blackcoin, as pretty much any other crypto. My guess is bringing out a bunch of cool products and getting people interested and some places to spend it is the best strategy. Let's hope the next few months bring good things, there's a lot of exciting things being worked on.

Had one person or group been doing that we would have seen below 10k price way way earlier, why would that person start to buy in between 20 and 30k "back then".
That being said, i do not doubt for second that the price has been heavily manipulated very often and for a long long time now

Surprisingly a lot of people were willing to sell at (certainly at times massive) losses - unless they had BC "from the beginning" and patiently waited for the worst possible moment to cash out
What stuns me most is that the "one big dump and all of a sudden a lot of people are willing to sell 1k lower" stupidity still works every single time.

Blackcoin is not getting worse, it's getting better. The price is dropping, but the product is improving. Building a successful project like this takes lots of time and effort, and no coin is immune to the crypto P & D game.

Hey all, sorry if this is the wrong place for this buuut..
I'm new to blackcoin and would like to get started, but my wallet isn't synchronizing. It got to around 20 weeks left of blocks to sync and now freezes. If I restart it, it syncs a couple hundred blocks and freezes again. Restarting my computer does not help.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Is it really freezing or just not updating blocks processed? Usually if you restart, it should update.
How long did you leave the program running?

I see these kinds of trolls more like uncles that show up to family parties drunk with a prostitute under their arm. If you don't think about them too seriously, they're quite endearing and colorful.
I agree with you. Although to make the analogy more accurate - it's a lot more like an uncle that's destitute, unemployed, and covered with filth spending the entire party handing out unsolicited investment, career and hygiene advice.

Anyways, glad to be back. Just got back from Hong Kong for Blackcoin. Was quite a productive trip and made headway with some Korean, Japanese, and HK Chinese contacts. Also, got in contact with probably one of our most valuable contacts but, can not disclose further except that I am happy to work with this guy.
But you know, the Foundation doesn't know what it is doing apparently. *Cough* We are tied to CNY price and no longer the BTC price after a very successful trip to China. *Cough*.
