See i would think that if i am mining with a specific pool such as wafflepool, i would want my fellow miners to help me with my config files after all as RedGreen would say "were all in this boat together"  so it makes sense to me that this particular page is where i would go for support help, after all i would think, all other miners at wafflepool would want all others running as efficiently as possible thus maximizing profits.

You would think so, yet you would be wrong. People follow this forum to read about wafflepool-specific things that may affect their mining, going off-topic (even if it is still mining related) adds a lot of noise and effort * for everybody else * to keep up with what's going on with the pool.

So in a way, going off-topic (and keeping at it) leaves a rather selfish impression about yourself.

The comparison to entering a chemistry class and expect everyone to listen to your Q's about Med. lit. and like it, is pretty accurate.

Just take the hint and head to the right forum, please.

Re: [ANN][POOL][PROFIT-SHIFT] Coinshift.com, the first profit-shifting multipool

@coinshift

I've a question:

For example, now that i am writing this post, pool is dedicated 96.5% on AUR and 0.73% on DOGE and remains on others.
Since pool has 2.5GHash, 0.73% will be about 18Mhash. It is obvious that 18Mhash cant find any DOGE block. So i think the pool algorithm should consider coin's difficulty into it's dedication's amount too (i like to call it hashrate efficiency).
It is wiser that pool assign those 18Mhash to RDD or GDC since it can be more efficient on those coins difficulty [OR] assign enough hashrate to DOGE side.

What do you think?

There's an echo in here.. echo in here..

Did anyone ever get compensated for those couple of hours they were accepting shares but not counting them due to 'electricity issues'?

Or Middlecoin's thread where it has been discussed in length https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=259649.3300 - Or Hasco.ws's thread where it has been explained time and time again https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=293872.0

Ah, but has it been discussed to death in * this * thread? Me thinks not.

Never before we haven't leaved our customers without compensation, so at this time we're not going to do this too.

I think we should ignore the double negative in this one Smiley

If anyone is interested, this is the response I got from support today

Normally we do not compensate hash rate losses experienced with personal mining hardware. If this fall will be compensated, you will observe it in your Daily Hash Rate graph at GHash.IO.

So better start ogling that chart  Roll Eyes

I did get my answer within minutes after submitting my question so they've got the timing aspect covered.

My BEST settings for minig Maxcoin (MAX) with mining rig with 3x Sapphire R9 290X 4GB DDR5 (5000MHz)

Do you work for the electric company?? A memclock of 1500Mhz for maxcoin is ridiculous, it is not memory dependent.

I had memclock all the way down to 50Mhz, made for a couple of days of cheap & cool mining.

Alas, it didn't last long.. When I began mining it, it was at 0.0045 btc and I held the coins. But after a week it dropped below 0.0015 so I sold them all and returned to mining the ususal scrypt coins. I see it is now at 0.0006, dead as disco I'm afraid.

I use stats.hashco.ws to gather my stats for hashcows so if they're incorrect so am PoolPickers.

FYI. For 48hrs mining on hashcows with ~1.1MHs has gotten me 0.0047 BTC (unex, exchanged and paidout.). Not exactly matching what they claim....

Perhaps you should add a disclaimer to your poolpicker page then, it is gettings quoted all over but none of the stats you report agree with what I'm seeing from load balancing over those pools.

Hmm.. That is not my experience at hashcows..

A couple of days ago I had 7MH/s pointed at them for little over 24hrs. Payout so far : 0.035 btc, which makes a nice fat 0.005 per MH/s  Roll Eyes

I'd prove it to you, but unfortunately hashcows' reporting is the cat's ass (which is the opposite end of the cat's whiskers)..

Here's how I visualize hashcows' inner working : it is a drain circled by some nonsense stats and when you throw in some hashes, a couple of days later some unexplained btc dust shows up in your wallet, with no way to relate it to whatever it is you threw in there. Just like a black hole, information goes in but none comes out Smiley

Glad some people apparently got 0.012+ per Mh/s though, good for you.

My hashrate shows only half of the real hashrate. My rigs are working normally I have checked them.

Same, on EU server (down to 4MH/s instead of 7).

To expand on that previous idea, isn't it just using the Amazon servers? What makes the difference between them being beta and non beta?

US West (Oregon) Region
EC2 Availability Zones: 3    Launched 2011

US East (Northern Virginia) Region
EC2 Availability Zones: 5*    Launched 2006

Asia Pacific (Singapore) Region
EC2 Availability Zones: 2    Launched 2010

EU (Ireland) Region
EC2 Availability Zones: 3    Launched 2007

http://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/globalinfrastructure/#reglink-na

It's about the pool software that the pool operator has put on those servers, that software is in beta.

I've been away from the forum for awhile and have noticed several posts that make it sound like several new servers have been added (and a couple hundred pages worth of posts...).  I have the original and eu.middlecoin servers, could someone verify if the posts about some of the other servers are correct?
