Re: Can we really fix the money @bitcoin
by
CODE200
on 18/06/2024, 01:05:25 UTC
Bitcoin already is a solution to fixing many of the problems on ground and ahead, this is why we could realized a continuous growth and increase in the numbers of its adoption, This is only also applicable to those that see bitcoin in such manner and make use of it in many applicable aspects of their financial economy, things have been quite long going as unexpected with the financial system before the people finds hope with the use of bitcoin in a decentralized way, which is now a preferred financial solution from using fiat.
That's why people love bitcoin because it shows the results and at the same time, it makes people smarter when it comes to financial related matters be it individual or economical. Hopefully, we get to a point that there's more people out there that's inclined to adopt bitcoin not just as an investment but also a currency, but I'm full of hope that we're definitely going to get there, bitcoin never fails to amaze me after all and the surprises in it is just far too much to fathom to doubt that bitcoin would ever not do what it will eventually do.

I think that the Internet Archive is doing just fine in terms of being used as a way to save important parts or contents on the Internet, there's probably someone out there that's already doing what you're trying to propose and I think that it would be a really awesome thing if there really is someone doing it and not just some threads on the forum but the whole forum itself and when it happens, it will feel like you're exploring the forum itself when you check out on the preserved forum in the future that this forum is really going to go away.

Re: Offensive names in the Forum
by

That's fine, Hitler is human name, it doesn't automatically mean to Adolf Hitler that killed the Jews. Actually there's someone named Adolf Hitler that win the local election in Namibia.

There are many clear offensive usernames in this forum, but didn't get banned.
1. suckmydick
2. suckmycock12
3. suckmynutsLOL
Even if that's the logic of things, when people that have a knowledge of things, that's probably the first person that they would think about when they hear the name Hitler and it really doesn't matter if it's a name of some politician in Namibia, it's that the user that made this username doesn't have that Namibian politician in mind. I guess with that kind of name, it's safe to say that there's no rules about offensive names here.

Offensive names in the Forum

I was scrolling through the Goods board and saw this topic, got me curious that he's got that name. Didn't know that there were no policies in the forum about names that would be offensive to some people, in the image below is the screenshot of the name of the user. I don't know if there's a rule in place regarding names or I'm just sensitive about this particular name or something.

It's always better to not share even estimate amount of your funds in the internet. Don't become a target for hackers
(despite of it im still share my investments time to time...)
Totally agree but I think that OP doesn't really mind if you say that you've got enough or more than enough in your investment, pretty sure that OP knows about this thing already so I'm not totally repulsed about this question. Also, even if you don't share it, if someone's determined enough how much you've got when you're joining a campaign, they can just check out the address that you're using to see a rough estimate of your total bitcoin haul.

Re: Is web3 casino the new trend for casinos?
by
CODE200
on 09/06/2024, 09:23:35 UTC
My thoughts on web3 casinos is that they're a living conundrum, they offer the ability to be anonymous while gamble but at the same time, they need to make sure that they're regulated and that they follow the rules or else they risk losing their business. This is probably a thing that would make a lot of gambling regulators all over the world change how they're going to do things when it comes to regulating casinos because Web3 casinos will definitely not falter to a measly KYC policy just because the authorities says so, there's bound to be a lot of takedown operation to this casinos eventually but I'm sure that it's a long one.

The reason for this is simple....

These people are using a throwaway Alt account, because they want to try to stay anonymous. If you use a older account, people can social engineer the previous posts you made to find out a lot more about you.... "Newbie" accounts does not provide that post history.

They might also be someone that are shitposting their competitors to discredit them, because trust is a big deal when it comes to casinos. There are also just some people that are trolling the forum for their own silly pleasures, so I do not take these posts very seriously.  Tongue

Also, let's not forget about the butthurt gamblers out there that lost a lot of money gambling and then trying to lash out against the casino to feed their own agenda.
But there's a problem with that argument, if a competitor can throw trash to tarnish the name of their competitor's casino so they can lower their sales and clients playing there and to make sure that they will go to their website, the opposite or the defense can be done to protect them too, take for example Casino A tries to bash Casino B that they require KYC or that their games there are so rigged and they don't have any bonuses through the help of an alt account that can't be traced back to them, at first glance that could be the end for Casino B but they Casino B can just always come out and challenge those claims and prove that whatever this alt account is saying, they can easily debunk it. My point here is that it doesn't matter what happens in that scenario, if the casino can debunk the negative claims that are being thrown at them, they will probably be fine.

Low value topics that do not encourage constructive discussion do not belong in Bitcoin Discussion. Threads not directly about news or developments within the Bitcoin ecosystem such as the following all now belong in Off Topic:
Who are you to say that? This is literally a mining question and the only sin that this post has is that it's in the bitcoin discussion, in fact, you're the one that's violating something in this thread, you're unnecessarily necrobumping old posts that people won't care about already, you got to do better next time.

Re: Bitcoin is Helping Me Set Up A Fancy Restaurant in The Ghetto
by
CODE200
on 09/06/2024, 06:17:00 UTC
I don't know if this is true but have you seen the TV series, the bear? I'm pretty sure that most of the stresses of life in the kitchen is portrayed there so the reason why fancy restaurants aren't a thing in most ghetto areas, not to mention that the possibility that in a ghetto area, that the violence might exist and that you're restaurant might not last long, also, there's the fact that people might not appreciate the fine dining experience because they want to eat something that actually nourishes them and is worth it for their already tight budget.
We do have violence, but the location of my restaurant is a bit safe. And our problem isn't mostly gang-related but occasional late night robberies. The good news is that folks know those involved. About kitchen stress, I'll have an assistant when it opens and scale up to two later.
I guess you do know what you're doing man and only thing that I can say to you is God bless you and hopefully your restaurant is going to be a success, I think that people from the ghetto would love your food, no scratch that, I have a feeling that they would love your food, something new is most people will crave and if they've got the means to get there so much easier then definitely, we're going to see a booming in your restaurant.

Re: As newbies we should know the significant risk in trading
by
CODE200
on 09/06/2024, 05:34:53 UTC
I'll fix it even more, if you're a newbie and you don't know a bit about trading then I'd suggest that you shouldn't consider trading without at least learning something about it, learn the basics first before anything, remember that the risk in trading is so high that it would be really stupid if you just trade without doing anything good on your end that would prepare you for what's to come. If you can do it, find yourself a mentor that would help you in your trading journey, never traverse that trading journey alone, always ask for help, it's never wrong or stupid to do that, in fact, that's actually the right and correct thing to do in such occasions anyway.

Just explore the forum and it's variety of discussion boards, that way you're not going to be out of place and you'd be learning a lot of things when you're exploring and at the same time, if you participate in the discussions, you'd easily be able to know the things that you've wanted to know, this specific board is a great board for you to discuss stuff that you're confused about after all, this is the Beginners & Help section of the forum, you can probably get all information you'd need here, just ask the right questions. You can also use the search bar at the top right of the forum to search for specific questions so you don't need to raise it once again when that question was possibly already been answered, just type in the key words and then the search engine of this forum will yield to you the results.

You're right, you're probably messaged through the filtering of that scammer about the likes in that particular. They're basically social engineering you to make sure that you're letting your guard down and make you think that they're a legitimate entity and that they'll be able to help you with what they can offer to you at least that's the goal for these scammers when they're doing social engineering, you did the best thing of confronting them head on and calling them out on their bullshit, that way, they know that they're going to be wasting their time on you. I just wished that you did something more interesting to this situation, I mean it's such a golden opportunity for you to waste the time of this scammer and to troll them into thinking that they're almost getting a payday and then you suddenly reveal that it's all a fake, maybe it's just me, I mean I've watched too many KitBoga videos and streams that this is the first that popped into my mind, I just think that it would be really fun.

Re: BITCOIN will be $350,000 by August 25, 2024 - Robert Kiyosaki
by
CODE200
on 08/06/2024, 23:57:22 UTC
Kiyosaki's probably got a lot of money on the bitcoin market, that's why he's hyping it up so much right now, he wants to make sure that people would be panic buying right now because of the fear that they might regret it later because they missed out on it. I don't want to say that I don't believe him but is the statement really grounded to a reality of some kind? Because if not then I don't think there's any point in listening to them, they can just continue on their merry way. Seriously though, has this man ever thought how difficult it is to break some of the resistance in the bitcoin market?

Re: 500sat/vb for a transaction? Has the world gone mad?
by
CODE200
on 08/06/2024, 23:17:42 UTC
Don't worry too much about it OP, we're going to see that transactions are going to go down in prices eventually and it's just a temporary thing. Another reason why I'm not worried is because I haven't seen my price goal yet and so far I'm doing just fine with all of this, no worries about the transaction fees going up so high. I do hope though that a fix is due for the network because this can't keep going on like this because people will eventually get to their limit and they don't want anything to do with bitcoin if they're so limited whenever the price pumps to the point that they can't get out the bitcoin that they've hodl for a long time because the fees are about half of what they hodl.

If Bitcoin is not being fight against in your region and there are more people that knows about Bitcoin in your region, you will surely have rich guy customers that will pay with
Bitcoin to get their car fixed. Customers love to get discount and from the discount you have agreed to offer the people that will pay in Bitcoin, you will surely have them coming. Some people that are not even familiar with Bitcoin will buy Bitcoin so that they can pay you with it for the sake of the 5% discount. Keep it up @OP, kudos.
Rich guys coming to your shop or rather OP's shop isn't a guarantee just because he's offering a 5% discount on repair if they pay in bitcoin, that's not how it works in this kind of setting. The people that would be talking about bitcoin with OP and will inquire about it will definitely be a thing in this situation and I think that's the best one for the whole community in my opinion, look at it this way, the more people are talking about bitcoin because of OP's innovation in his payment model, then there's more people that have the potential to invest in bitcoin, then the more we would see contributions of OP for the increase of demand in bitcoin.

Re: The Internet don't forget, many times Donald Trump says bad about Bitcoin
by
CODE200
on 08/06/2024, 22:05:00 UTC
For people who wants to give him the benefit of the doubt and try to excuse his past behavior about bitcoin by saying he has changed, you are correct.

He has changed because now bitcoin can actually benefit him. He didn’t see any benefit back then but he does now that’s why he is leeching to bitcoin and cryptocurrency really hard. But if in the rare case he truly has changed and genuinely supports bitcoin then that is a win for us. In the meantime, don’t fall too much for his promises.
If it was that easy to change, should've done it a long time ago right? I mean the only reason why I think he's saying all of this good things about bitcoin is because he needs the votes from our community, no other reason I can think of besides that, politicians are known to be lying to their teeth anyway so what difference is this one when things like this happens, what I want when a politician is speaking about this is that they do the praise when they're in the position already and that they're already doing all they can to create a legislation that helps or supports the people that are a part of the bitcoin community.
