dunno when you enlarge the picture it appears to be lines around the neck (by the cape) and around the wrists - maybe just a tight ass fitting suit. or one that is made to look like muscles etc - like some of Batman's suits.

Bellybutton ..that’s end game on the design shirt or no shirt debate here lol.

Mopar keep at it, dunno how you deal with the collectors here these days.

Whether or not it was actually a pre-planned "experiment," I don't know, but I don't really care. I'm all for giving more established users a second chance when it comes to this kind of thing, especially if they swear they're not gonna do it again, which is why I didn't leave a tag.

I can’t even go shopping for a fn golf putter ( https://rb.gy/j9bvej ) before I see easily a top 3 fallacy/ marketing scheme/scam of our lifetimes. We aren’t even at Quantum yet lol.

An AI putter, what?? In one of the videos the guy says, "through AI we were able to develop to develop an insert that will leave you 21% closer on missed hits..." so there no actual artificial intelligence in your putt, that's a shame. I was hoping there was a camera and motion sensor on it so it could transform the surface however was necessary to ensure your putt made the ball go in the hole, lol.

“ If the new tech isn’t true artificial intelligence, then what is it? In my view, the most accurate way to understand what we are building today is as an innovative form of social collaboration.

A program like OpenAI’s GPT-4, which can write sentences to order, is something like a version of Wikipedia that includes much more data, mashed together using statistics. Programs that create images to order are something like a version of online image search, but with a system for combining the pictures. In both cases, it’s people who have written the text and furnished the images. The new programs mash up work done by human minds. What’s innovative is that the mashup process has become guided and constrained, so that the results are usable and often striking. This is a significant achievement and worth celebrating—but it can be thought of as illuminating previously hidden concordances between human creations, rather than as the invention of a new mind”.

Not a big US mint fan, but every once in a while they drop a cool item.

This year in celebration of 250 years of US military they are making a custom eagle coin for both the military Navy and Marines. These are all West Point struck coins, of course adding to the lure and value. Regular versions go for $95, so for $10 more 🤷‍♂️.

The 3 examples dropping this year ($$105 for this coin. I imagine the others will be the same. Also, what I found interesting is that in the beginning it had a household limit of three at this point it’s down to one. Does anyone have any idea what kind of vintage they may end up producing now it says max vintage of 100 and K but as someone who used to purchase coins from the US met quite often that really doesn’t mean much. Any thoughts around this much appreciated !

I give up, won’t CC properly from the uploader, not to mention FF mobile blows

This one I’m not in know about it so if anybody could provide some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated!

It's been implemented, you can setup these kinds of escrows just using bitcoin core and have been able to for years.  It's just another application of multisignature, which is what P2SH was created to make it easy to pay into without special software support.

There have been commercial services based on making these kinds of transactions-- e.g. Bitrated.

The reality is that the demand for it in practice is pretty negligible.  The issue is that if people think the transaction is at risk they just don't trade.  If they think it is not at risk then they don't bother taking actions to secure it.

It's not supremely user friendly to do these kind of multiparty transactions in bitcoin core but that itself is just a product of demand.

As far as Wright goes, he mostly speaks in vague truisms specifically to avoid getting caught out.  So for example Satoshi says that he didn't have time to implement it-- Wright says in there since day 1.  But if you try to nail wright to a cross on this he'll just say that he meant the potential was in there as part of the design.

GMax, thank you!!!

For what it’s worth, you more than have “done your part” (and then some)…Referring to when you were brought up in that worthless btc doc HBO released “recently”.  Over the years you’ve been extremely helpful and engaging w/me personally and it means more than I could ever express.  You’re a true freedom fighter and stand for righteousness above all..thank you, for everything. Fuck the haters/trolls.

I enjoy your photography btw. Clearly a fellow plant/animal lover.

As an FA who got in finance to fight from within a corrupt world, to truly help people, I took to bitcoin back in 2013-14 especially due to learning how corrupt big banks truly were/are at that very same time  ( I wish one CNBC host had the balls to say to Jamie next time he calls BTC a scam, “what about Chase under your leadership. From 2000-2006 JPM had roughly 6M in fraud violations. When you took over in 06, to now…”). look where that number stands today - https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/jpmorgan-chase . Think that’s bad, check out BOA.

Outside of btc’s potential to change the world, I also was and am beyond fascinated w SN Escrow proposal. I’ve posted about it before here, esp after Szabo told me he “believes so” when I asked if SN was referring to the use of SCs with this proposal. Greg has shared w /me why this proposal hadn’t (still hasn’t?) come to fruition. The sheer time coding up such a revolutionary financial proposal using cryptography is what I believe to be the equivalent to btc’s solving of DS. Hashcash, Bit-Gold , Ripple (not then XRP) etc had all been proposed years before SN final cracked the code. I’m assuming the escrow proposal that have been created today are of that same ilk, and the btc proposal for his escrow proposal has not yet been solved. Greg, Achow and I know a few others here can confirm this one way or another and would LOVE an update.

On to what I’ve shared here a few times over the years but still never been given a definitive “yes you busted it him here” or “no, you didn’t because”.

So, id love to put this to bed once and for all.. (any feedback is greatly appreciated). FYI I was baiting him here, and purposely trying to sound completely lost and like a moron, a tactic learned from Sasha B.C. who explained how pretending to be a complete ignoranous will help put one’s guard down. Respkt!

FYI mistakenly wrote division instead of schedule in my post, but assume you boys figured that out Smiley

Several months out still but I just want to bring up the question now so decisions can be made.. Skip yahoo ff this season and move to Sleeper or nah? @ChiBitCTy will back me up on this, super smooth.

This has to happen. Fuck a vote. Sleeper is unquestionably by far the best FF platform. Miles ahead of shit yahoo and espn. It’s currently owned by a couple guys w backing by big private equity dollars. This means that it will be ruined eventually just like all great small companies are when they are inevitably sold. So let’s enjoy it now while it’s great.  Let’s not be complacent! It’s like when I ask people if they have Signal for calls/texts and it’s most often “nah I use WhatsApp, so do all my friends”. Always respond well it’s inferior to Signal, as is every messaging platform of its ilk. Or when I ask if people have Cash App “nah I use PP/Venmo”.

Huer- our fearless leader, I say you slam the gauntlet on this one , go dictator style and make it be so. Yall know by now I take FF way way too fn seriously, and I half way know my shit..trust me boys (and gal).

Anyways normally something I’d only share via PM but while I’m here, figured best to get this out to you before I forget for months on end again.

Hey fuckers  Cheesy  just stopping by to say hello. Been mia for a bit for a number of reasons, not sure if that’ll continue or not. Anyways hope you guys are well.

(Hated the bears draft. I don’t understand the lack of love for Kmet. IMO he’s a star who’s proved it in horrible situations every single game of his entire career .,trubisky, Fields ..both who have no clue how to check down and lack accuracy. Then last year the offensive line was one of the worst of all time AND he had a dipshit OC who refused to throw to him for the first few games, opting for an old ass TE he knew from Seattle, who sucks. Finally they started throwing to him, and the offense improved sizably (not saying much, I know). He’s a legit Y TE who’d be a big name in a good situation IMO..I could see KC trying to snag him, if Kelce doesn’t retire b4 the season, no question this is his last. I’m not a big swift fan, but if she wore this every day around the house, I’d have already retired Wink  https://youtu.be/0VEZ6rSvunQ?si=7jjezTm0bEhaeJFi ).

1 of each. Funded. Both are in excellent condition. Looking to sell right around where the last few have sold (adjusted up/down depending on price of btc at that time, naturally. Too lazy to gather this info for myself atm, if anyone can share plz do so. I will work on it tom otherwise (it’s roughly 11pm central for me rn).

Note - I consider both coins to be “at risk”. It is well known that coins were swept, then quickly added back on a Bull coin a few years back, a coin that had not been peeled. Maker of both, TopWorldCoins, are scammy cunts.  Also note redemption process for Bull coins (I can’t remember if it’s the same for owl coins) is unlike any BTC redemption process I and most have ever seen (it’s not super simple).

Reply or DM if interested. Will ship WW (buyer takes on full liability for shipping/taxes/vat etc if outside the U.S.

Hand full of photos for both. I can’t take pics for shit.

Re: Which strategy is better?
by
ChiBitCTy
on 19/04/2025, 03:58:30 UTC
Talking about teaching financial intelligence to children, what do you think is the best practice to enforce this as a parent,
Scenario 1
Giving them enough money at a young age to see how well they will manage it.

Scenario 2
Not giving them enough money, so they can work for their own money.

Put these conditions in mind,
In the first scenario, it is a close condition where the parent intends to teach the child early how to manage money, and in the second scenario, the parent wants the child to learn from their own experience.

I will share my story, and how my father raised me.  I didn't struggle for things growing up, but my father was no daddy warbucks handing out cash like water.  He taught me about every single important aspect of life, provided what I needed, spoiled me more than most kids get spoiled, but nothing crazy.  One thing he taught me about very early on, 10-12 years old, was the stock market.  Asked me if I could "own" a piece of any company, what company would I choose?  I replied, "Nike".  So he bought a few shares, and the prospectus arrived a week or so later...and my teachings of the stock market and finances in general began.   I remember thinking "this is the most fascinating coolest shit ever, but I just can't quite understand how it work, I probably never will".  decades later my trade is being a financial advisor lol.  I was given a lot, but I also worked hard and made a good life for myself despite never needing for anything growing up, because my dad instilled important traits in me.

Re: What do you think about the concept of a social casino?
by
ChiBitCTy
on 19/04/2025, 03:51:50 UTC
We are talking about gaming platforms that allow users to play casino games without having to wager real money. The goal here is to have fun and socialize with friends.
Social casinos look and function in the same way as real money online casinos. Players can play slot machines and classic games like bingo, poker, and roulette. However, instead of betting real money, social casinos use virtual currencies and points.
You may have to deposit a certain amount of money first, but playing on such platforms does not mean that winnings are paid to a debit card.

I think of a social casino the same way as I think of "practice" brokerage accounts. When there is no real money on the line, it's just not nearly as fun and as an adult, a waste of my time tbh.  Unless I'm playing poker for fun with family or friends or whatever, I lost interest pretty quickly.  Back in the day I had a casino disc for my PC (still have it, will post about it some day as it's some cool "gambling game in the world of pc's/phones/internet etc)

My first Vegas Trip

⭐ Merited by un_rank (1) ,madnessteat (1)
I believe I'm going to Vegas for the bitcoin conference (well, to meet up with/support a friend with a booth there), as well as the litcoin summit (because of Charlie, a bud) which overlaps the btc conf.  The time spent at the conferences will be minimal, so that means the rest of the trip will be spent at the Bunny Ranch.  JK (or am I).  So I plan to mostly play poker and roulette., with a bit of sports betting.  Can anyone recommend which casinos are their favorite for poker (hold'em..both "fast play", as well as for no limit tournaments).  Then for roulette and sports betting, lastly.

What I'm most excited to check out...Stadium Swim and the Sphere

Sphere "event" playing during my days - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eryP10tAFGQ

Short trip, little gambling, little pool side sports betting, show at the Sphere..good eats..I'll be happy all said and done and have always been told 3-4 days is plenty in Vegas lol.

Any tips appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Everyone fuck off with your "enough of this" topic shit.  I know this question annoys people, most I couldn't give a shit less about, quite a few I absolutely do care for quite a bit..but either way..so fucking what.  It's fascinating stuff.  I've read every satoshi post 10x over, all his emails that have been shared etc..I find myself wondering too.  Now I also recognize that Satoshi without question, planned his anonymity from day one, as well as his inevitable departure.  Also that he would have a known wallet of great size he would never touch...how do I know this? It's essential to bitcoins success ..so I hope we never find out who satoshi is (likely a few "elite" cypherpunks imo) but it's still fun to wonder and this is a legit question as one day quantum computing will be here and everything will change, some stuff hardly, some stuff big time (encryption killer, for example)..then maybe we will see AI (no, AI doesn't exist what so ever rn, not even remotely close..or sorry, AGI..is not close to fruition, maybe never will be in our lives,AGI will be far more advanced than quantum computing could ever be..so

Re: Can Bitcoin Succeed Without Mass Adoption?
by
ChiBitCTy
on 19/04/2025, 03:04:03 UTC
So to say bitcoin can't keep up transaction wise is to forget what bitcoin is, at it's core...code.  The blockchain is programmable and has been "updated" "enhanced" whatever you want to call it by elite cryptographers/Dev team ..and one of those geniuses is a mod here so I will quote from a recent article that discusses his work (Greg Maxwell and if Greg happens to see this post, congrats on the award!)

"As open-source software, Bitcoin relies on voluntary contributors to maintain, review, and improve its codebase. Unlike a traditional company, bitcoin has no central authority, making the work of developers like Wuille and Maxwell critical to its continued success. Both have played pivotal roles in ensuring bitcoin remains robust, secure, and a practical tool for financial freedom.

“Wuille and Maxwell’s efforts have demonstrably made bitcoin a practical human rights tool for millions of people, especially so many who labor under authoritarian regimes and financial repression across the globe,” the Finney Freedom Prize announcement stated.

Their contributions have helped bitcoin become a powerful financial resource for individuals worldwide, particularly those in repressive environment". - https://bitcoinmagazine.com/press-releases/pieter-wuille-and-gregory-maxwell-receive-the-finney-freedom-prize

Mass adoption is somewhat already here..with ETFs , love or hate em, it's changed the game.  Just look at how stable btc's price has been throughout this craziness in the US/stock markets for months now.  IMO bitcon HAS already succeeded.  I transact w/it often. Always will.  Others will as well and more will follow.

Re: Is US lossing reserve currency status?
by

on 16/04/2025, 12:34:11 UTC
This question kind of reminds me of the same proposal asking if the Unites States is going to have another civil way.  The answer is absolutely not even remotely close to it nor do I ever see it coming to fruition.  If it did ever come to fruition I think that bitcoin is most likely to be set to replace the US dollar, and I can't find any other type of currency that fits that bill.  Certainly isn't the Yuan and Ruble.  But that's just my two on it.
