If Israel and Iran go to war, what will happen to crypto assets?
by
CoffeeKing001
on 19/06/2025, 09:03:12 UTC
On June 13, Israel launched a large-scale airstrike on Iran, causing the crypto market to fall sharply, with Bitcoin falling below $103,000. How is the war going? Will the crypto market continue to fall or rebound from the bottom?

I see you still work on your project.

Thanks for your attention.

Would your BBS work with empty Bitcoin wallet or should people hold small amount of BTC on it to use some/all feature?

There are currently no restrictions, but if spamming occurs in the future, it will be necessary to raise the threshold appropriately.

Hello everyone, I build an Open BBS based on Bitcoin and BRC-Soul protocol.

1. It support login with your bitcoin wallet
2. It can save your social network on Bitcoin forever
3. A token incentive system can enhance communication efficiency among users.

May it can build a home for every Cryptor https://bitbbs.bitsoul.xyz

So what is the problem with creating a new blockchain dedicated to this project, if you are so convinced that it will succeed (apart from the fact that it would be the nth blockchain, and growing)? Why insist on using Bitcoin blockchain, especially when cons have been very reasonably argued already?

About the project itself, looking at the links you shared, you have done a good job so far IMO. You are addressing a real problem that has been giving headaches for a long time. I simply want to share my concern about creating a new problem by trying to solve an old one.

Firstly, It's not easy to build a new consensus. Creating a new chain, and attracting people to use a new chain is too hard, it needs much money to make the market. I'm only an independent web3 developer.

Secondly, I think saving my wealth and social network (the two most important things for me) in the same chain, makes me feel convenient.

Lastly, I just want use the consensus, which Bitcoin build already. It's good for this project to cold start. And inverse, the social activity gas can help bitcoin become stronger.

Who stipulates that Bitcoin must only for finance?
Satoshi did. According to him, Bitcoin is a P2P electronic cash system. It allows for online payments of electronic cash to be sent from one party to the other without intermediaries. So, it's not a network to save your social data on or a blockchain to create a de-social network. If you don't believe me, check out what it says in the whitepaper.

If everyone like you, thinks Satoshi did, Bitcoin must did. Then it's dangerous. Bitcoin is free, everyone can do what they want to do.

Is what you offer something like Bitrated, Bitcoin Trust - multi-signature smart contracts for buyer protection and fraud prevention for Bitcoin[1]

Thanks for your information.

Bitrated provided service, reputation score, is part of BitSoul. But it seems Bitrated's reputation score is more centralized. BitSoul stores reputation on the BitCoin chain, and it can calculate scores from Decentralized Social Network(DSN) built on the BitCoin chain.

Why should use the Bitcoin chain?
1. Applications on Bitcoin are just emerging, and there is currently no related protocol for a DID identity system. This is an important area in the crypto community.
There are already several attempt. For example, MicroStrategy already share their plan to build DID protocol using Ordinals.

Thanks for reading carefully! And thanks for your information. I have searched and read it, it's called "MicroStrategy Orange Protocol" https://microstrategy.github.io/did-btc-spec/

It's really not appropriate to say "there is no", and I have modified it to "there is lack of".

In fact, BitSoul is designed in Feb 2024, much earlier than "MicroStrategy Orange Protocol" in May 2024.

Or don't share such information on place which can be seen by anyone.

Using ZK tech may help safeguard the privacy information, we will try it.

It reminds me of this xkcd comic.

Ha ha, but we need to try, it's still in the early stages in the de-social area.

You should be aware that some Bitcoiner don't like when someone store arbitrary data on Bitcoin blockchain.

Yes, different people have different opinions, but it is precisely because of the existence of differences that the crypto world is inclusive.

The Bitcoin blockchain is for finance - you want a different blockchain.   Security is no different between blockchains.   Do you understand the difference Bitcoin and Blockchain?

Who stipulates that Bitcoin must only for finance?

Some people want to save their Wealth and Network, the most important thing of them, on the same securiest chain.

Different chain has different security. (pos vs pow, Hashrate, and so on)

What
BitSoul is trying to build a de-social network based on BitCoin, the most secure blockchain.
Including personal identity, friend relationship, group relationship, soul bound certificate, etc.
<https://dapp.bitsoul.xyz>

How
Here is the help document about how to use bitsoul: <https://bitsoul.medium.com>

Why
The lack of regulation in the crypto space brings freedom but also comes with scams.
Addressing trust issues in anonymous scenarios becomes crucial. This can significantly
reduce trust costs and, consequently, increase productivity in the crypto world.
[BRC-Soul Protocol based on BitCoin](https://github.com/bit-soul/brc-soul) can effectively
solve decentralized trust issues and have important applications in scenarios such as:

1. Lending platforms can adjust corresponding collateral ratios based on the credibility of addresses, thereby improving capital utilization efficiency.
2. Individuals can assess the credibility of a project based on the reputation of the project initiator's address and decide whether to invest or not.
3. Individuals can develop their social circles in the crypto world based on the credibility of addresses.
4. The decentralized relationship can be stored on the chain forever, without restriction of any centralized app.
5. Every app use the same data, we would never need build our social network and reputation again and again.
6. and so on...

Why should use the Bitcoin chain?
1. Applications on Bitcoin are just emerging, and there is currently no related protocol for a DID identity system. This is an important area in the crypto community.
2. Bitcoin is currently the most secure chain, and personal identity information is the most important information for everyone, so it should be stored on the most secure chain.
3. The various DID identity systems on different chains have caused severe fragmentation in the ecosystem. Bitcoin's position is the most hopeful for standardizing DID identity systems.

See You 2024/1/3 18:15:05 UTC!!!

Inscribe Here https://qrpaper.github.io/

i don't think anyone is going to do that because it costs money and your product has no demand right now. there is no market for it. you would be better off promoting it on some nft marketplace where people aren't so skeptical.

you worked hard to make this project so why not promote it someplace where it has a chance because that place is not here i don't think. Shocked

Thank you for your advise, I just think it's good for BTC ecology, so I want to share it. It's all free, we don't charge anything, just need some transfer fees.

why don't you mint all this NFTs to the blockchain and then you can just send them to people who ask for one. for free. that way they don't need to pay any fee.

Sorry, it's really cost too much for one person to pay for the whole project. So we need split it into many segment.
i know but u don't have to mint each segment all at once.

The qrpaper bitcoin whitepaper NFT are inscribing fairly, the one who first inscribe will own it.

Why QR codes? That seems like a bad idea. Text would be so much more effective, and it has already been done.

I think QR codes are also fine considering we are moving more towards the digitalized zone and everyone carrying their phone-based QR scanners. It's crazy.

I think OP should take this idea further with the minting of some historical papers too. You know those papers that held importance in human history. Gradually a digital library can be created using this method and thus preserved over blockchain forever. I am not sure if minting it publicly will reduce the value of its ownership and also the auction value but it would be good for forever storage.

The papers like the first signing of independence of America (or any country) with images, or some important document which expose the Nazi deeds and what not. I am not sure if this would be relevant or not but could be another good project OP can think about.

Thanks for your acknowledgment, And I think your suggestion is cool.

But I think our "qrpaper" project would be better focus on blockchain project WhitePapers.

If someone what realize your "historical papers" project, we can help you by providing tech support freely.

That's a good business initiative! I suppose there will be increase in the overall power of mining facilities in some time. NFT-Ordinals attack made it clear that there is a lack of mining power now. So all the new mining initiatives, I think, are beneficial nowadays. I hope mining industry will develop into something great!

tks. Yes, I agree with you. and if we can mint something good for Bitcoin ecology may be great. Just like what qrpaper do.

Thanks, this quote inspired me. May be I have not explain clearly.

qrpaper is a NFT project, so the consensus of it just like other NFT project.

At the same time it's good for Bitcoin ecology consensus.

Could you tell us definition of "ecology consensus"?

Imagine if every new BlockChain project mint their WhitePaper on Bitcoin, it means they all acknowledge Bitcoin as the Base of BlockChain, and this is saluting to Bitcoin.

Maybe, but NFT part and splitting the data to many tiny parts are completely optional.

Quote

I think "ecology consensus" is the consensus of all of the blockchain ecology users, not only bitcoin users. Every blockchain user should admit the core position of blockchian is Bitcoin.

The reason why I split it is:
1. mint the whole WhitePaper is so expensive for one person
2. let people hold the WhitePaper together conform to the decentralize spirit of Bitcoin
3. let a group people hold it, it's more easy to build a community to make consensus

Stop spouting nonsense, your NFT have no impact on Bitcoin consensus. And i doubt having your NFT increase one's influence on bitcoin community.
Most of the people think Bitcoin is nonsense years ago. Time can proof it.

And you still pretend owning your NFT have impact on consensus, while it doesn't. On top of that, you doesn't even give explanation how your your NFT could have impact on Bitcoin consensus. At this point, i'll just quote this answer.

For a given network, consensus means achieving a consistent view of the global state between all participants. For Bitcoin, this means that all nodes/wallets should be considering the same utxo set. For Ethereum, it involves all participants having the same state trie. Minor other variations exist for other networks.

Mining and protocol versions are simply means to achieve this consensus - miners are motivated to only select valid transactions (transactions that spend unspent utxos, and meet other validity requirements) as their block will be dropped by other participants in the network if they produce an invalid block.

The project name is: qrpaper
The github link is: https://qrpaper.github.io
The twitter link is: https://twitter.com/qrpaper_sats
The discord link is: https://discord.gg/3MjNRBhuRv

## Slogan
Salute to Satoshi, every blockchain project should mint their white paper on Bitcoin.

## Foreword
There is only 600 segment NFT, I want it can be hold by the most core Bitcoin users to enhance the consensus of Bitcoin, it's all free for mint. Follow the twitter and join our discord to get White List. Bitcointalk users is priority to get.

## Significance
As the earliest blockchain, Bitcoin's value mainly comes from consensus, but it is also constantly facing challenges from other public chains. In order to consolidate the value of Bitcoin, we put forward the slogan "Salute to Satoshi, every blockchain project should mint their white paper on Bitcoin", which is not only conducive to continuously strengthening the consensus of Bitcoin, but also It is beneficial for new projects to be understood and accepted by Bitcoin users.

## Introduction
qrpaper converts the white paper into a plain text markdown format,
and after splitting it into sentences, encodes each sentence into a QR code,
signs it and mints it on Bitcoin with Ordinals Protocol for permanent storage.

the theory image is here:
https://github.com/qrpaper/qrpaper/raw/master/docs/img/qrpaper_theory.jpg

the example image is here:
https://github.com/qrpaper/qrpaper/raw/master/docs/img/first_441.png

## Why bitcoin
1. Bitcoin is the first blockchain, it is the chain with the highest degree of consensus and the highest security
2. Bitcoin ordinals protocol, storing all of the NFT data on the blockchain, it would not be lost forever
3. Bitcoin has the largest TVL, minting your project white paper on Bitcoin is very memorable and advantageous

## Why qrpaper
1. qrpaper is the first project who helps users mint their white paper on Bitcoin use ordinals protocol
2. qrpaper optimized the NFT image generation technology, compressed the data size to the limit, it greatly reduced the mint gas
3. qrpaper use qrpaper.sats domain to sign every NFT to ensure no one can fake it
4. qrpaper split and visualized the white paper to qrcode, which has a beautiful style, it is easy to spread
5. qrpaper is governed by community through qp-dao, it's a decentralized project

## qp-dao
next, we will start the qp-dao, everyone who holds the NFT of the three core qrpaper(bitcoin, ethereum and qrpaper) will have the right to join. And you will have the benifits like airdrop, whitelist, vote and so on.

Ok, so you're one of those spammers paralyzing the network with your stupid "whitepaper minting" crap?

Have you thought about people not being able to send and receive payments because of your irresponsible actions? Mint my ass.   Angry

Bitcoin if free, every one have rights to do what they think important, or doubt it.

Every NFT is signed by qrpaper.sats domain name, no one can copy it.

but qrpaper.sats what is that? it's not even a website you can view so i guess it doesn't mean anything.

*.sats is doman name support by Ordinals protocol, qrpaper.sats point to the qrpaper project address, and every qrpaper NFT is signed by the address private key. So every one can verify the NFT through qrpaper.sats
