Good job on the seed round. I notice the article mentions Eth and Rootstock EVM compatibility. How about possibility to run on CounterParty, as the VM is in the process of being ported to mainnet?

When there will be more info about ICO and campaigns release? And dont you wann change that "unicorn" in title? It really feels like it is joke coin.

It's not referring literally to the mythical animal... "Unicorn is a term in the investment industry, and in particular the venture capital industry, which denotes a start-up company whose valuation has exceeded (the somewhat arbitrary) $1b dollars."

how do i deposit xcp on the decentralized exchange i deposited btc but how xcp

You can simply send the XCP to the same address you sent the BTC to. The decentralized exchange platform can determine the balances of BTC, XCP and any assets owned on each address and allow you to transfer those in and out.

Which kind of revenue are involved in this deal (and cutted)?

Important question, the deal covers all kind of revenue derived from the game, TV derivative and merchandising. Though I mentioned that we are already doing merchandising deals but this will cover the future deals. The deal is for 12 months so after 12 months any of the party can stop the contract. With 3 territories exceptions see below

Quote
1) only fiat currency revenue stream from play store and app store (from credit/debit cards, gift cards)?

2) both fiat and crypto currencies from play store and app store, swapbots, shapshift (whatever in the future)?

We gonna share the blockchain revenue as well.[/quote]

You said that All4games have expertise specially to the “non-bitcoin” sphera.
It's ok, so I suppose that All4games do not have expertise in the crypto community around the world.
My question is: Is there any plan to attract chinese crypto addicted customers?
and
What happen to the project for quoting bitcrystals on a chinese crypto market?

Quote
On the contract is specified they are going to translate the game in Chinese. Though I negotiated 3 territory publishing exception as Japan China and Korea.
Since those 3 are very important markets. As you mentioned China is very important and we need someone with an important knowledge of the market to maximize the impact.
So once the deal is closed with channel 4 we will have much more weight to start discussing with Chinese potential partners.

Sounds extremely promising and seems like a net positive step for all parties involved. Voting yes.

U.S State of Delaware Partners With Symbiont On Blockchain Initiative

Delaware, whose business-friendly laws have lured more than half the country's publicly traded corporations and more than 60% of the Fortune 500 to incorporate in the state, is now vying to become a hub for blockchain technology.
Gov. Jack Markell is set to announce an initiative Tuesday to encourage businesses incorporated in the First State to develop distributed ledger and smart contract technologies through a suite of programs.

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me the best and safest way to store Counterparty or Counterparty assets?

For example can I store then on a Ledger Nano wallet? Trezor? Etc...

If so is there a link explaining how to do this? (I have been Googling for 20 min and can't find any info on this)

Thank you in advance!!

- Buy offline computer that's never touched the internet (Linux or Mac)
- Uninstall all networking stuff
- Install a verified copy of Bitcoin Armory
- Broadcast your transactions via transferring them with a USB stick and Counterwallet

Any contacts with the hard wallet companies so they include XCP as default?

Not sure about Trezor, but I believe Ledger wallet dev was in the CounterParty slack a while ago discussing integration.

P2SH is being constantly worked on https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-lib/pull/818

After the fix, the price seems to be creeping up.

Maybe now that ETH, Dish, FCT, XMR, EXP ETC have all have their turns, XCP can enjoy a nice rise too.

Seems it's already occurring.... just went up by 32%

If you agree and care about this, I would encourage you to contact BTC38 at  Support@mail.btc38.com (email or skype) to request CounterParty's inclusion.

BTC38 was weird why they don't list when peoples vote also with their money.

Yuanbaohui.com have been interested add Counterparty and I hope they will take it and we can get finally first Chinese exchange.

Bitfinex have also look more seriously Counterparty and we maybe must start campaign it for them. So please send emails and tell them about Counterparty and what it actually is. Any other exchanges even aren't interest talk about things. When you get that auto reply message from some exchange don't stop to communicate, tell them more, explain more and make they understand.

Sell them volume and fees not only from Counterparty, but also from Storjcoin X and Bitcrystals what are really great projects. Explain them this projects also in messages what you are sending. Now when volumes have grow already if we get XCP to some exchange and get more volume it will come more easy to go next one.

Btw are in Counterparty community anyone who speak and write Chinese?

Also if someone can help make this application form full with english (also with chinese if someone can) so it is sure right. There have been discussion with them, but we can also sending this to normal support who forward it then to right guys.  http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=97179928603380862332

+1 I have again contacted with BTC38 on QQ and the message is that XCP "is under review for adding, depend on interest" So I encourage this community to lobby for the inclusion of this coin to more exchanges- the more voices who ask to trade this on alternate platforms than polo, the better,  also both Yuanbaohui and bitfinex are good ideas too and perhaps might respond in more reasonable time.

I don't know if there is a good chance for BFX but I have wrote to btc38 and Yuanbaohui using the address contact@mail.btc38.com and contact@yuanbao.com respectively. The more users that request the addition of XCP to the trade platform; the better prospects for them adding it. The extra liquidity will aid accurate price discovery.

LOL!  Grin

TPTB, looks like you have a fan Smiley

Some say his IQ is so high, you need an IQ of 150+ just to be able to comprehend the number Smiley

Some say his skin has the texture of a dolphin's, and that wherever you are in the world, if you tune your radio to 88.4, you can actually hear his thoughts...

Some say he's wanted by the CIA, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat

All we know is he was formerly Anonymint, and once crafted a WYSIWYG web page editor that attained roughly 1+ million downloads .

For real though, I afaik he's already making a (non tribute!) coin and has put together some very technical and well articulated dialog on the matter. I don't think even Martin Armstrong can predict the surprises TPTB has in store for us here at BTT. I am certainly keeping my eyes peeled

But now the content is being tailored to the members' specifications, with the goal of presenting a clear explanation of what will distinguish the Hyperledger Project from efforts specifically mentioned, including bitcoin and Ripple.

"What we want to point out here is there are a lot of use-cases [for bitcoin and Ripple that] are not appropriate," said Voell.

Ripples never appeared on the Hyperledger TSC. No contributions on mailing lists, meetings and so forth. ergo they won't really play a part. They are free to submit proposal though (like intel will shortly) but the project looks to be set in it's own direction

Re: Which coin is the next Ethereum?

the XCP dev's spot to a reporter and it was leaked out that they plan to push out Ethereum on BTC mainnet later this year.

So whether it is rootstock or XCP, there will be a few choices for using Ethereum smart contracts with BTC.

Btw when the premature news came out XCP went 3X within 15 minutes, then back down as the developers came out saying that the reporter shouldn't have put out the news as they still need to do more testing before they release it for BTC mainnet.

Agree I think both Rootstock and XCP have their own key advantages and disadvantages. At the moment XCP is further along than rootstock as the sidechain concept hasn't been fully fleshed out yet, much less production ready. A few major problem with Rootstock is that miners can effectively attack the chain for free, that 2 way decentralized pegs don't exist in any form of manturity at this time, and perhaps the biggest that rootstock corporation takes 20% of every contract execution cost and pockets it, despite calling it a 1:1 bitcoin peg. (as opposed to debiting the gas costs in xcp and removing it from supply, which benefits each and every holder of XCP rather than a centralized entity.)

Quote
"As a result, every time a person or a corporation runs a smart contract on RSK, 80% of the fuel paid goes to the miners and the remaining 20% to RSK Labs, so we can continue the development of the open source platform."

I think XCP has long declined in value as the news of smart contracts have gone full circle from being priced in and hyped up then priced back out as expectations have been invalidated with a slow release. Things have gone downhill then chugged along sideways for a long tine. The brief rise in price was only punctured by tempered moods as it was revealed the news was leaked a prematurely. Otherwise it would of stayed up there.

See the following quote by Vitalik

Quote
"My personal opinion is that XCP-style meta-consensus systems are the next generation from here, at least as far as Bitcoin-based protocols are concerned". -- Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum lead dev

Quote
"So, Counterparty sucks because it is too powerful?
I was involved in the colored coins project for a few months before I moved to my position that XCP-style systems are strictly superior to CC in basically every possible way (and moved to Ethereum full-time, but I will say that Ethereum is not superior to CC in every possible way because it is not directly based on Bitcoin so doesn't have as nice interoperability properties" -- Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum lead dev

Quote
Our compatibility with Ethereum smart contracts is at the virtual machine level, so it doesn't matter what language (Serpent, Solidity, LLL, etc.), you write the contracts in---they'll run on both Counterparty and Ethereum the same. Between the Counterparty and the Ethereum communities, we'll figure out what languages we want to write contracts in and develop those. -- Adam Krellenstein, Counterparty lead dev

I expect as the code actually hits mainnet and we begin to see ported smart contracts on the bitcoin blockchain, when XCP starts becoming debited for as along with token issuance we'll start to benefit from the emerging DaPP ecosystem. With a tiny market cap and scarce total supply I think it's a good recipe for some positive price action and there was already a small taste of things to come.  CounterParty was the original project to implement ethereum VM and perhaps the most well known and it's not going anywhere.

Some relevant news from CounterParty open source project and Symbiont (commercial offering ran by CounterParty devs and including CounterParty in it's stack)

Quote

Quote
Blockchain startup Symbiont has scored a partnership with the potential to level the playing field in a growing group of New York City-based startups weaving the technology that underlies bitcoin into the heart of Wall Street.
While competitors in the space have been announcing a series of major partnerships, Symbiont has been relatively quiet until now. The company today unveiled a deal with Ipreo, a business co-owned by asset manager Blackstone and investment bank Goldman Sachs, to launch a new firm in the $3 trillion syndicated loan industry.

"With LTS, we addressed the legal and process problems that have plagued loan trade settlement,” said Kevin Marcus, president of Ipreo in a statement. “Our joint venture with Symbiont marries this solution with the transformative power of blockchain technology."

I think it's important for to get some visibility in the main altcoin discussion section, rather than be confined to this subsection, which many do not visit. We don't really get much new exposure. Other altcoins such as Monero, Ethereum and MAID are very visible there with prominent community discussion threads, inviting opportunities for new members unacquainted with the tech to peruse and  promoting intelligent discourse.

Perhaps someone could start a Blockchain 2.0/Smart contracting thread examining and discussing the various platforms available for tokenizing and representing assets on chain, and then introduce the angle of smart securities.?

I would certainly contribute to explain all about how counterparty fits into the ecosystem, how it compares to other offerings, strengths & weaknesses and what exactly it brings to the table. I'm newbie member so I think it's better coming from someone established but will probably make it soon if no-one else does

nobody made a thread so I took the initiative to try and give it a shot.

It would be great if anyone wants to contribute anything. Talk about the reasons you invested, how counterparty fits into current crypto landscape, it's strenghts, it's weakness.. thoughts on short/medium/long term future price action or anything! the main thing is the thread is more visible.

The thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1396194.0

Sorry I haven't analyzed Counterparty. I am at the limit of altcoins that I can research. I need focus more on my own work. After studying dozens of altcoins from Stellar to Factom to Iota to Dash, etc and finding flaws in all of them, I am confident there is nothing out there that is doing block chain consensus in a way that can scale (to millions of users) decentralized, not even Monero.

Obviously Counterparty is built on Bitcoin's block chain so inherits the scalability issues plaguing Bitcoin.

EXACTLY !

That is a key point you said in relation to this topic subject.
And highlights a glaring and rapidly growing problem.

I looooong ago stopped caring about the tech side and dropped all my crypto related coding etc

IMO it's only recently we are starting to see a little bit of originality in the altcoin space.
The sad thing is, as you pointed out  many old-timers are too burnt out with what has been a  torrential downpour of copy paste shitcoins (basically litecoin forks) to spend any time analysing recent projects
I think it's a mistake because I believe the market is slowly finding it's legs in a maturation phase and recently few projects are emerging which actually cater to a genuine niche and it's unwise to totally ignore developments there, especially when real use cases are demonstrated and even external entities can appreciate the potential.

No worries. I do agree with the scalablity issues so only consider it's usefulness for a fairly narrow subset of applications.
If you do get the time to research it I'd love to take a read through.

Can't wait for the ANN thread of your coin. I guess you will have a lot of friendly people there  Cheesy

I remember an old quote of AnonyMints: "enable the free market to experiment and innovate. Don't try to proclaim you know the perfect design for all" . I think his matter-of-fact frankness and thirst for engineering what he feels is a fix to as yet unsolvable problems gets mistaken for him arrogantly forgetting the latter portion of that quote whenever he criticizes existing approaches.Of course it is easier to identifiy flaws than it is to propose a solution avoiding them, or indeed presenting another set of flaws. Harder so to successfully implement said solution so he has to get some props for open his project up for scrutiny.
